Stato won the spin a hand promo with just a pair of , was an incredible hold! And his Deal or No Deal for £25k was such a sick sweat - very much recommend watching it - starts about 49 minutes in. Make sure you watch till the end - there's a good twist!

Just showing the paper on full screen a lot more and having the numbers really crossed off would help. Really enjoyed it though, and I thought the DS seat was locked in when Stato went back in, in which case I like his deal at the end. Feels close without it although I can see why he took it. Great fun and looks like a great promo.

Merry Christmas Alex, have a good one, maybe we can get dinner at one of these stops, I think we both played a fair amount in Prague. I think I'm going to be in Dublin if you fancy it?

I thought this was really good Alex, What  good sports both Rob and Stato are. Great comparing job from Skallie too.

By the way of a bit of feedback, sometimes I couldn't see how much was in a box as it was taken out and the amount wasn't mentioned in commentary. It would be good if there was a board or an overlay on the screen with the amounts still remaining.

Sure Adam, Dublin will be a reasonably last minute thing I imagine though.

Exactly 5 years since post one of this thread...

So much has changed but in many ways so much has stayed the same. I still play poker for a living, and I still love it. My closest friends then are pretty much my closest friends now. I'm still entirely motivated by the idea of a family, and I think that now I'm engaged and make good money each year even without tournament binks, that dream isn't too far away.

No more soppy reflecting (I turned 27 today, maybe that's what brought it on...)- time to talk about what HAS changed since 2011 -

I'm now a big FOOTBALL fan.

I've been goaded, after literally years of trying, to play Fantasy Premier League (FPL) with the usual suspects and I'm determined to quash the sneers and destroy them all.

In 2 days, my first ever Television set will be delivered, purchased for the viewing of said FOOTBALL.

In fact, it's time for a New Years Resolution, my first and only one so far as it happens. In 2016 I will make a profit playing Fantasy Football. Now that may not be very ambitious. But I come in with 0 experience at FPL and extreme informational asymmetry with my competitors.

Last weekend was my first taster, and it's safe to say I'm hooked. 8 of us drafted a 7 man team (no budget) in a 1/2/2/2 formation for the weekends PL action, £100/man, winner takes all. Flipped for the order, then pick in a snake draft sequence, 12345677654321123 etc

Then there are all sorts of side bets, HUs, team bets, Sunday only drafts etc. So you do your research on the fixtures, teams, and try and assemble the best team you can. There's a sick disqualification rule if one of your players scores an own goal or gets a red card!

Sadly that came into play this week, as I had Kolorov whose slightest touch diverted Watford's corner into his own net...! But I cleaned up on side bets, the highlight being taking Ozil vs Stato's Mahrez. Ozil did fk all, as did Mahrez, Mahrez gets a penalty and misses, giving me the win.

Mitch took down the group draft, with Koscienly's goal a big contributing factor...

So since poker talk isn't too popular on this forum (!) nowadays, and there's not much I can write about whilst playing cash games, I might use this thread to keep track of my fantasy football exploits. Could be some fun sweats, and do post any tips or advice, interaction ftw!
