Peter Fury's words were he was an okay weight for that fight.

Weight perhaps but that's not ok shape for any fight.

I agree. Presumably we all want to see him in-shape and taking part in meaningful fights but he fought once last year and has nothing lined up for this year.

Eddie Hearn says:

“When we heard Khan’s Mayweather fight was on the brink of falling through, I made a serious offer for him to fight Kell. That offer – £5million – is still on the table and will remain there for the foreseeable future.”

Is the venue for Froch Groves II announced today on SSN?

Unless I dreamt that one up, anyone confirm?

What's your money on?

He will never fight Kell IMO.  Sad how low he has come he is looking for one last payday effectively.

Isn't that more cash than he would have got for a Mayweather fight?  What other options does he have for a last pay day of that size?

I used to really like Froch, but now I'm starting to hope that Groves gives him a proper going over!

I don't like it. Gives greater transparency but doesn't stop bad decisions happening as evidenced by the Garcia fight. It was also used in the Canelo v Trout fight and it ruined the fight as the judges had it as a landslide to Canelo whereas most observers had it a lot closer so instead of going in to the later rounds thinking the fight could go either way we already knew that barring a KO Canelo had it won.

Any news on who is on the under card for the Froch Groves fight?

Be great if legendary MC, Michael Buffer does the ring stuff......really got me pumped for the Froch Kessler II fight was he did it.

Dont think anything is confirmed yet but there is talk of Kevin Mitchell-Tommy Coyle fighting in an IBF eliminator.  I would bet 1-20 that Anthony Joshua is on the card barring injury and probably Luke Campbell too.  On a card this big it wouldnt be beyond the realms of possibility to have a lesser world title fight supporting it but I am struggling to see who of Matchrooms fighters would be runners..Bellew fought this weekend, Quigg is fighting at the end of April and Brook fought last week.  Maybe someone like Callum Smith or even Rocky Fielding.  I guess the problem for the punters now is that Hearn isn't going to need anyone that is a real draw to sell the tickets so it might be a lot of filler sadly for those going.

Surely the point is that they get in the ring to fight, and if it goes the distance, only then do you go to the scorecards to seperate them.
