Bakhtov has one of those records that's meant to make him look like a test but every time he has fought anyone with any sort of ability he has lost. Even at this early stage AJ is probably a top 10 heavyweight and in a different league to some of the guys who have beaten Bakhtov.

If AJ fought Price/fraudley/haye/Fury/chisora tomorrow who would he be fav to beat?

None of them, surely?

He's never fought more than three rounds. He's got terrific potential but that's all it is right now.

I'd have my net worth on AJ at odds against v Audley.

Didn't believe for a minute he was saying if they fought today.

The likes of Chisora and the Audley of a few years back would be convincingly outboxed but they'd filth it up good and proper. Over 36 minutes, anyone unfamiliar with the physicality would be an underdog IMO.

gl fraudley lasting 3.6 mins never mind 36 minutes.  AJ would be close to odds on for a first round ko never mind to win.

In all seriousness, the division is so unappealing and has been so for ten years. There has been the odd fight (Haye's win and then his Hammering) that lit the division up, but they were about the hype as much as the fight themselves.

Lewis/Holyfield/Tyson was a long time ago.

Boxing needs more than one superstar in the top division. AJ has the chance to build himself into a serious challenger. The timing is perfect and he could be looking at fighting for belts in the not too distant.

Fed up of watching Sprott v Price v Audley v Fury... Just as I was fed up of watching Shannon Briggs and co getting primetime fights.

Let's see a proper heavyweight boxer carrying the flag.

I want to see aj fight the american kid who was on ringside today.  He is explosive.  Can't remember his name.  Massive unit!

AJ is a decent sprinter, and he'd need all of that running ability to chase Audrey round the ring if they ever "fight".

Lol Wilder.

Would be the first heavyweight fight for how long where both guys are ripped?

If the best he can get is the vacant WBC international belt, I might have to revisit that list of British heavyweights.

Wilder - an extreme example of a record being built and someone being manoeuvred up the ranks without risking him against anyone threatening. There were rumours that he gave Haye trouble in sparring last year and it looks like he is going to get a title shot but, after 32 fights, he is still an unproven prospect.
