Gala and ridic props tonight? PLEASE BE IN.

Hes the bounty in DtD Beginners comp tonight Smiley
oh that explains it. Thought the email saying knock out Belton to get your £10 back was another thing being done for charity

I lolled.

One of the things that makes Beth a keeper is that when she says "we don't have to do anything for Valentine's day," that's actually passive aggressive code for, "we'd better not be doing anything on Valentine's day." She's also a firm believer that Hallmark days should not be celebrated. Days in and days out should be celebrated, the burden gift of life, our friends and families. We're celebrating today, a Thursday in February, with chicken. So, when Alex asked me if I wanted to be a bounty for the bowl comp at Dusk, apart from the fact it gave me a minor life crisis in that I realised even though I play poker for a living I am far from "a professional," I couldn't help but feel a little bit flattered. I'm using it as a good excuse to help transition Beth from online poker to live poker. The little grinder just wins loads of sit & go's online. Her average hand history goes something like "I flopped some pairs and he went all-in." I must admit I get a little jealous of how good she runs, but then I realise that I'm her boyfriend and that must be a horrible misfortune for her.

Anyway, on the back of a brutally swingy breakeven YTD, I must present poker as fun and enjoyable and be accepting of some of the annoying things I used to do when I first started. Then Gala later. Please let me win £300 in 30 minutes so I can at least say there's justice in the world. Thanks.

Gym time. Zen time. Realising there's more to life than just knocking it in every night time. SUPER SAIYAN. MORALE: AT LEAST 10%

I think Wadey FT'd the beginners comp when he was the bounty, surely a challenge to win it? Smiley

Sort of want to play this tournament once a week just to remind myself how fun poker can be sometimes. Someone would make a horrible calldown and make a pair at the end, and there was absolutely no drama "oh KJ is a really good hand." I miss just being able to look at poker as an enjoyable thing to do, a night out with some friends, no bitterness, just great albeit primitive banter. Obviously it will never feel quite like that, but it would be nice to get away from these borderline miserable average sessions where it's either a boring win or a massive loss and there are no tales to be told because everyone is being quiet and terrible at cards.

Friday night is almost certain to include something I can put in a trip report. Please. Chest day at gym, pancakes pre, morale low but on the rise.

i have mentioned elsewhere how much fun I am having playing super 50's at Dtd. Just love the social side and how much fun people are having at the tables. Paul Grummitt keeps owning me which is great fun as well Smiley

Session off to a good start. Ass barely in the seat and I flopped a set. Only good for £50 but at least we haven't gone broke yet. The pot right after was a £1k affair which I was not involved in where ace high was good on K Q 9 6 3. Looks like it could be a fun game.

Just been on a massive card rush. Naturally I'm losing 300 now. Won't survive the year at this rate! Going to make sure I go broke spectacularly tho.
