One thing I noticed the last time I was up in DTD a few weeks ago whilst watching one of the cash tables was that no one appeared to be tipping after winning a pot. Admittedly this was just one table but is tipping still happening regularly in cash games at DTD or was this just an odd table?
At the higher limits people used to tip, and actual gamblers (ie people who came with 1BI and expected to go broke, just came for the atmosphere etc.) would tip whether they won or lost. A little guilty myself of not tipping when I win small pots. It's just hard when poker is your only source of income.

You know the dealer at MGM called Chip? legend, he's been there for years and the old white hair guy who sings a live straddle song everytime someone goes fot it. I really enjoyed staying there.
There's a dealer at Alea called Jurjis (I think that's spelled correctly; it's pronounced Yulri) who makes the biggest loudest song and dance when you tip him. Definitely worth throwing this guy 50p every time you win a small one. Maximum entertainment bang for your buck.

Tipping in Vegas is sick, at Fat Burger (no, really) they have skinny tips (coins) and fat tips (notes). If you give a fat tip, even 1$ the guy on the till turns to the kitchen and shouts 'fat tip' and every single member of staff in the kitchen (at least 20 people) shout thank you
It was awesome when I was smashed anyway...

Performance reviews should be based on performance not length of service
That's what I keep telling Hannah but apparently it's not the case Needs more love That's what Hannah says.

We don't get tipped when we lose.
It's not up to the players to make sure the dealers get paid fairly, that's the job of the employers.

Is there a fairer way of doing the tips, so that good dealers get more?
I understand that the tips are pooled and then distributed on a pro rata basis, and this also takes into account that some dealers will be lucky enough to deal in the bigger games (with bigger tips). But surely there's a way it could be worked to motivate the dealers more?

Yeah, I get this argument..but then don't complain about rake being too high. Also, do you tip a waiter/waitress (I refuse to call them valets) at DTD? Do you tip anywhere?

Yes, get the best dealers to deal the bigger games and stop pooling tips. If I tip someone I expect that tip to go to that person. The same goes in a restaurant. I think there should be a "tip the waiter" or "put it in a pool" tick box on a receipt and possibly box boxes on a poker tables as well. Job done.

What about some sort of player feedback that gets considered at pay review time?
