Down 2.1kg in the first 10 days. Without a doubt, some of this will be muscle mass and a lot of it will be from a reduced retention of water due to consuming fewer carbohydrates. Hopefully I can continue at somewhere between 500g-1k loss per week. I've personally lost a lot of the motivation to get to the gym. I used to hate training legs and now I'm happy to let my entire body turn to mush if I can't deadlift. When did this happen?! Oh well, I'm going to see if I can find the will to get in a heavy back workout later anyways.

Update: something clunked in my leg while I was doing some mobility shit earlier and now I have full range of motion if my ankle, knee and hip joints are all inline (ie I can theoretically perform a leg press now because that is a movement that requires no stabilisation)
Weigh in later. It's been a good week from a caloric standpoint. I won't lie, I had to get a McDonald's in the other day because I spent 13 hours at work and needed something calorically dense to prevent me from consuming too little. Other than that, my diet has been squeaky clean and my workouts have been INTENSE. Regardless of what the scales say, I'm looking better and I'm wobbling less. At this rate, I should be lean and limber, ready to start increasing my lifts again come the start of the year.

Haven't put the exercise in enough this week and have to be off it at least a week after suffering a likely concussion!!
Skateboards are not made for guys in their late 30s, especially if you haven't really used one in over 20 years

Haha it used to be so easy when we were kids, eh. Concussion? No problem, bring on the next set of stairs.
Hope you're alright mate; get back to the gym as soon as your eyes have rolled into the forwards position

Back to the rig on friday for another 2 week trip.
I admit I have indulged while at home, however I have just moved doctors and had to have a physical type thing by the nurse, and I was pleased to see I weighed in at 119.6kg, so not too shabby really.
Back on the clean rig hamster food again for another 2 weeks of being hungry, will do another set of weigh ins if the weather allows

I hate to be the rain on anyone's parade, but this makes for a very bad read. I know you have a bet, so your target is strictly weight loss;
however
it's clearly that you are cramming and crashing. The whole point of a good, clean diet and regular exercise is that it equates to a better, healthier lifestyle.
When you are starving yourself, and sat around fighting back the hunger, that's such an unpleasant feeling that when you get home after 2 weeks you just want to pile a huge amount of the nearest thing into your face. Instead of eating not enough and feeling hungry, then eating too much and feeling guilty, why not just hit a happy medium literally all the time? That way you can a) see what works for you and eat a little less/more accordingly, and b) make it very easy for yourself.

i think my wording was the problem wit my post, i wrote it on my tablet while in the middle of something else
yes, initially the weight loss ws for a bet, which i have won.
however now, i want to keep going with what has been started and the second hurdle was to make sure i ddnt pile the weight back on when i got home.
yes i did indulge a little, but it was only a little, for the first time in a very long time i was planning meals around salads and baked potatoes, pasta and grilled meat, eating and enjoying what i ate, not just eating untill i felt happy, which was when i was uncomfortably full
i no longer cram food into myself, and my exercise has stayed higher than it used to be, not as much time spent on my arse with the tele on while the wife is at work etc
i am looking forward to getting back into the gym on my off shift time while on the rig, and also get my bike sorted at home so i can cycle to the local gym and get a sweat on there

Had an expected gain over the past week. Head still feels a mix of a hangover and the 'flu. Expecting it to be like this for next couple of weeks, but gonna do some very light weights/bike work later this week.

Completely off the wagon by the looks of it. Have really noticed the lbs going back on this week too. Will do another weigh in next Monday then start the thread fresh on the 1st Jan.
Head still hurts from the concussion a couple of weeks ago and I have managed to fk my knee somehow. Really hurts in the morning and most of the day. Though in truth knees have not been great for the past 20 years due to all the road running I did as a kid

Come on mate don't let all that hard work go to waste ffs. You've spent 3 months losing 14 pound and you've put 5 of it back on in 2 weeks? Get a foothold man; don't give up.

Weigh in earlier. Down to 90.2kg for a loss of 1.9kg in the last 2 weeks. I decided I'd loosen up my diet a bit now that I'm in the weight loss groove. Basically I make sure I get 5 servings of protein per day, which is split into 3 meals and 2 shakes, and carbs whenever I need them (basically pre and post workout as well as some fruit on my break at work.) Absolutely smashing the gym at the moment, using a really simple 4 on/1 off rotation of: Back & Shoulders, Chest & Abs, Legs, Arms & HIIT. I'm going to make sure I enjoy christmas dinner with my family and yes I will definitely be partaking in plenty of treats, but I know if I keep my training and diet strict on the days up to and right after, then I won't be doing much damage at all.

Considering it was xmas and all the food involved 2lb gain wasn't too bad.
My knee is completely fked, cannot weight bear at all, likely ligaments are damaged, got an appointment with the Dr tonight, see what he says. Odds on says it's weight related...lol.
Will weigh in again on 2nd Jan and restart the weekly totals.

Is anyone having a fresh crack at this for 2015?
Weighed myself this morning 15 stone 7 lbs. Was 12 stone when I met my wife 15 months ago. Can't go on like this or I will be getting craned out this house! Signing up to do the 3 peak challenge with work, aiming to get back to 12-13 and a healthy feeling.
Will do an official start weigh on the 2nd.
