Screw it lets give this a go. Hopefully I can public shame myself into losing weight.

It is fair to say I have been well overweight all my adult life and done very little about it until last 2 years, with the exception of a health scare in my mid 20s. I probably topped out at over 19 stone but lost a lot travelling in early 2013 and was down to 16 1/2 by summer 2013.

My main weakness is binge eating food and alcohol. If there is food in my house that is anywhere near bad for me it gets eat. I have always been a binge drinker, can go weeks without a drink and then knock back 10+ pints on an evening out.

I used to do no exercise at all, though in the last 5ish years I have walked more. Last feb I did couch to 5k and have been running ever since, completed my first 10k race a couple of weekends ago and have a complete obsession with parkrun on saturday mornings. The fact I am still putting weight on, shows how terrible my diet is, when running 15-20 miles a week!

My weigh in this morning showed

12th Jan 2015 17st 9lbs

I would like to lose as much as possible down to around 14st but baby steps and all that.

welcome to the fat club......good luck

Big challenge today. First business travel day. Really hard not to snack due to airport boredom!

Loss this week will not be up to last weeks level but feel like I may have dropped a bit.

Solid week with 4 swims of at least 1000m (1 of 1500m), food intake medium/good.  Could have been worse but def could have been better overall.  Happy with that for the first week.  Onwards and upwards.  Hope everyone else had a good week.  Let's really try and keep this thing going this year between us fatties.  We might get a few more involved if we keep it going.  gl all.

Good to see some motivation back in this thread.

I'm back on my usual training split (of 4 days weight training, 1 day boxing and 2 days recovering) because my hip has just about recovered; need to adjust for some lost strength and stability, but that shouldn't take long.

Consuming a small caloric surplus on training days and a small caloric deficit on rest days.

I have NO CLUE how I used to find it so easy to eat at a surplus. Getting through 300g of carbohydrates (which, apparently, is the recommended daily intake Shocked) is a massive challenge these days!

Anyways my last weigh in of my cut saw me just over 85kg, which is a tiny number considering I was close to hitting 100kg before my hip injury. Hoping to get that number up close to 100kg again before I start cutting again over summer.

Anyone watch the Horizon Diet programmes? They were a lot better than I thought they would be. I'm a feaster, once I start eating I find it hard to stop. Feel sorry for the constant cravers.

                         February 24th: 19st 7lbs
                               March 2nd: 19st 1 lbs
                               March 10th: 18st 13lbs

                               January 16th 2015: 15st 8lbs

1 lb gain.

Very lazy week. I ate like I would be exercising a lot. Only a 1lb gain. Fancied a rest. Think my body has said thank you and I go hard this week thinking I will get down to 15st 3lbs mainly because I am looking to exercise 2 hours a day.

Most of that will be stretching and foam rolling because I was carrying a lot of weight for a long time and my muscles are struggling to cope with higher intensities and I haven't broke the back of that yet. I hope to get over that soon, so I can take the piss and constantly go hard more often.

When that day comes it will be glorious, ha.

Weigh in tomorrow.  Had a 45 minute spin class tonight, 3rd of the week.  Been eating pretty good but maybe too many days at home.  Thinking it should be a loss but not a big one!

Excited for scales ha ha

no idea about weight as the rig has been way too rocking and rolling in the recent storms and weather bombs

i have however now started to do that insanity thing every evening, and coupled th my healthier eating, i'm hoping that i'm headed back in the right direction again after my xmas  excesses (which incidentaly did not put back on all that i'd lost just before xmas, so thats a bonus)

think i need to start using the scales at home and stick to them as a datum

PS, insanity makes you sweat, a lot, i mean a real lot!!!
