Gym session done today, followed with a swim too. Kids have started school, NOW I have some time on my hands, so no excuses. Half an hour marching up a 15 degree hill, followed by some chins and dips. Pleased with my residual fitness over the winter, but could definitely feel the strength loss from last year.
I have also started to introduce food. Nothing drastic, about 150g of lean meat each day and dropping one of the shakes. Will be doing that for a week or so, then introducing salad items with it to make a proper meal. Probably something like another 3-4 weeks of that and that should see another stone off. Then I will be re-introducing vegetables, going up to 2 meals a day and seeing how that goes for a couple of weeks. Finally, re-introducing bread/pasta/potatoes/ other carbs and effectively being on 3 square meals a day at that point. Guesstimate that will be end of March.

When I read that quickly I thought it said 'fish and chips'!

Gutted
14st 10lbs - weight loss of 3/4lbs.
9 1/4lbs weight loss on month number one, that is a figure I am pretty happy with. But I actually technically have not lost any weight for about 20 days, as I weighed this amount before I went to Paris.
I honestly expected a 3-4lb loss today, had a big week at the gym and ate very well (imo). There is of course natural variance in these things, and your bodyweight fluctuates about 5lbs a day, so I might have been unlucky not to have a dump beforehand or something, but I am still going to take this one very seriously.
Plan of action for next week:
*Still do not deprive myself, or eat something I don't want to.
*Calories count for one week only - I don't calorie count because I do not think it is sustainable, but think I will do it this week only, just in case there is a really obvious food/habit that is not as good for me as I thought
*Grind away at the gym, but not make any major changes, simply because in just over a week I have an evaluation with my personal trainer and he will be changing my programme a little anyway.
I guess I do have 8 weeks to go to lose 11 bs, so it is not the worst thing in the world.
Well done to Lee & Simon btw.
This has gone well so far. Although as I thought, most of my innate calorie counting ability was reasonably close, it has highlighted half a dozen regular foods I eat that were more calorie dense than I expected (Muller Rice, beans) and a few that were even lighter than expected (jacket potatoes, these little herby new potatoe things we have, kit kats). I still think I should have lost more than I did last Sunday (and I also didn't poo all day, #justsayin), but it wasn't as much a sure thing as I thought it was.

Diet 07/02/12
200g Chicken
Oyster Sauce
100g Rice
50g Onion
MP Cookie
Iso Clear
Homemade Stew
Protein: 223g
Carbs: 108g
Fat: 46g
Cals 1741
Not sure on the exact macros for the stew so just had a guess, mainly a load of steak, carrots, swede, onion and other veg thrown into the pot so healthy enough but no dumplings which makes me sad

Just had a mcdonalds grilled chicken wrap for 370 cals. Wasn't bad at all actually, can add that to the list of mcd's stuff I'm allowed to eat.

Booze is the only thing I don't miss really and when I'm away for a trip or something I just crack on. I am struggling with the fact there are 6 Creme Eggs, 2 Malteser Bunnies and a couple packs of Lindt Mini Eggs on the kitchen table and I see them everytime I get a bottle of water
