Well I have lost about 3lbs so far (mainly Xmas weight anyway) but have now put my back out from overdoing it at the gym. My missus has flu and it just seems like a matter of time before she coughs it into me also. So currently not liking my chances of hitting my Jan 21 target.

Rabbit food is tastier than you think when you finally get stuck into it. Looking forward to the shepherds pie for tea though  Smiley

if anyone's looking for meal ideas....

I picked up a copy of the hairy dieters cookbook in sainsbury's yesterday for £6.49.  Loads of really easy and delicious looking meals in there, all around 300-400 calories per portion.

Watched their mini series on this, some cracking food to eat with a lot fewer calories in. Anybody who has watched their usual programmes will know they certainly like their food. They managed to lose almost 3 stone each in 3 months too.

Last night for a treat I had a big bowl of spag bol, it was pretty special & I really enjoyed it. This week has gone well on the eating front. My weekdays are very similar;

Breakfast - porridge & honey

Snack - apple

Lunch - ham salad sandwich on two slices of whole meal bread with cuppa soup (the low calorie ones)

Snack - banana & another soup (if I'm hungry)

Tea- chicken/lamb chop/pork chop, brocolli, carrots & small amount of carbs, normally mash.

Other than eating better & drinking lots of water I have tried to improve my daily routine so exercise is standard. I am walking the dog for 50mins - 1 hour & start at the gym on Wednesday. I stopped cycling to work when the weather turned & am looking forward to getting back on it as soon as it brightens up, I try to walk a few stops on rather than sitting in the bus stop waiting when on my way to work.

I have never noticed this thread before. But I am in for the ride...

I am 26 yrs old 6ft tall, I left the army in 2010 an all arms physical training instructor in peak physical shape and condition, weighing a slender 13,3. Last year mid year I weighed myself after my sisters little boy started calling me "Fatty Boy" turned out I was 16,0. I had put on nearly 3 stone in 2 years. I then went on a mad crash diet before the holiday to New York and Canada with the mrs and go down to 15,2 in a matter of weeks, only to go on holiday eat and drink like mad and come back 16.0.

Anyway to cut a long story short I weighed myself on Jan 1st and I was 15,4... I have been eating and drinking like a caveman for the last 6 days and weighed myself this morning as the first sunday of the year and I have lost a total of 5lbs already. I know most of this will be water but with eating like a caveman I am also making sure that I drink 2L of water a day. I know I am supposed to be drinking more than that but there is only so much water that I can take, I really find it tough, yet could easily drink more than 2L of coke a day! :S

I am going to Egypt in July and its my goal to be 14.0 come then, I am not exactly fat but I am carrying more weight than I would like to be carrying. This week was about getting the diet right and getting into the swing of eating low carb, next week I will introduce the gym after not going for over 6 weeks.

I will give weekly updates on sunday mornings and see how we go, it will be interesting to see how everyone does and who cracks first, I havent read through all 200 pages plus of the thread but I have gone back to the beginning of the year to see what everyone has in mind.

Week 1
Starting Weight: 15,4
Current Weight: 14,13

Total Lost: 5lbs

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!

For all the new fatties this year, calorie counting apps like MyFitnessPal are a god send, so get one of those for your phone.

Had a bloody fry up at DTD last night FML, but all I had eaten all day. Not impressed, but did say was starting Monday as need to sort a shop out & gym.

Got home at 4am, up at 7 for jog, then worked until now.

Need to work out a snack to have now & just want to go to McDonald's (feel like crying lol).

PS - my fitness pal if you have not got it George and GL today.
