I will weigh in on Jan 2nd and record my weekly totals on here.

As I am aiming to run a half marathon at the start of march I will also list the furthest distance and time I have completed for each week.

The running totals will no doubt be crazy and all over the place as obviously I haven't left enough time for a proper training schedule. Having said that I will treat the half marathon as a training run rather than an event.

Measured my waist yesterday and it is the biggest it has ever been. What makes this even worse is that though I am never thin as such, I am usually partaking in some sort of exercise so have   more muscle etc.

Fortunately 'fitness' always comes back quickly for me once I get back into it

Starting weight:   16st  4lb

I'm aiming to run a half marathon near the end of March - there are 12 week training programmes around so I'm only a bit behind one of those. Yours might be a bit trickier.

Got the bike out this morning & whilst riding to work in the wind & rain isn't as nice as riding in the sunshine it wasn't that bad. Just had chicken, veg & rice for tea & it was very nice!

Let's go go go!!

Interesting 'experiment':

Didn't really tell us anything new - burn more calories than you take on and you'll lose weight, no matter where the calories you eat come from.

This is gonna be a doddle, this stuff is so tasty

3 for a tenner atm and the new range is great so far, Spanish pork and the chicken tagine are immense, jerk chicken not bad.

For the time being, I'm eating salad, fruit and ^^^ for January, let's see what happens.  Even if I don't lose anything, it tastes better than the shite I used to eat.

Still no gym on the rig, should be on for next trip.

So far have decided no to diet, but to change the type of food I am eating.

Out is ; chips, almost all bread, full english breakfasts, foods cooked in oil/fat, puddings

In is; more fruit, lots of veg, rice, salad n baked potatos

1st aim is to weigh less than I did when I last finished a trip, bear in mind I was at home for xmas indulgence!

Weight was 119kg, if I'm under that I'll be very happy, and will be kicking on by adding exercise on top of my healthier food.

Target by my birthday 21/June of 105kg, but as I can't do a huge amount of cardio due to complications post brain injury aquired in army days, my exercise will involve weights, so losing size/fat is more important to me than losing weight

Hey Callum. I decided to try and lose some weight too, just started a few days back, but started at a similar weight to yourself, perhaps a pound less, and also am aiming to lose 2 stone. Will be good to compare results, although I'm gyming it each day!

You honestly don't need a gym. Bodyweight workouts 10-20 mins will give you so much. Just keep the intensity high.
