I decided to buy some new scales today they pretty much agree with the gym scales!

I'm happy but confused to why I've lost 5 lb this week compared to 2lb last few weeks !

Any ideas?

Week 1 17s 5lb 5lb loss

Week 2 17st 3 lb 2lb loss

Week 3 17st 1lb  2lb loss

Week 4 16 st 10lb 5 lb loss

Total lost  in first 4 weeks one whole stone !!

Starting weight - January 9th: 21st 5lbs
                          January 22nd: 20st 8lbs
                          January 27th: 20st 3lbs
                         February 3rd: 20st 1lbs
                         February 10th: 19st 13lbs

Loss of 2 lbs this week.

Very lazy week. Threw my back out into the first exercise session of it and remained sidelined since, should be alright to start some dumbell training soon. The diet however has gone on strong and feel better with each week and am now fitting into smaller clothes which is always nice.

Two weeks now with the unanswered question of how much i could lose with exercising hard with the diet, but this week will be just a daily dumbell session as i ease myself back into some joint banging cardio.

Going well, but I do expect the rate of loss to increase when i start exercising properly.

Weighed myself this morning at 18st 1lbs

I would like get down to 15 stone eventually but taking each stone as it comes and keeping it off is the main aim.

Weighed in this morning at 17st 10lbs for a 5lbs loss in the first week.

Today I weighed in at 17st 6lbs for a 9lbs loss in nearly three weeks.

I weighed myself at the beginning of December and I was 18st 5lbs so nearing a stone loss total from where I was back then.

As of this morning I now weigh 17st 4lbs.

2lbs loss for the week which I am more than happy with.

Thanks for the support as well, it means a lot.

Weighed in at 17st 3lbs last friday for a 1lbs loss on the week.

Hoping to weigh in at 17st 0lbs by next Monday before going up for the UKPC.

                         February 17th: 19st 9lbs

Loss of 4 lbs this week.

24 lbs gone total.

Around 42 lbs more to go.

Been hitting the weights this week sporadically. Need to do more running. Definitely see the difference on me now, but clearly still about 3 stones worth of fat to shift. I think I am not too keen on running because of my size, might wait until another stone falls off before i try properly again.

Remained vegan too and feel great for it. No urges to eat any meat or dairy and eating so healthily and a lot less has opened my eyes to the fact i overate as a comfort thing before.

Put up my likelihood of remaining vegan lifetime to 20% from 15%, as the way in which i can eat as much as i want of veggies and fruit along with potatoes and rice feels really nonrestrictive and the feeling of not having to calorie count or starve myself is great. I am probably missing a nice natural sauce to put on my food that isn't oily and makes me feel a little ill. Sticking to Dolmio sauce on Pasta as my only real adding of sauce, and know that isn't the best for me. Will just need to get less lazy and try a recipe for a nice natural sauce, because these dishes can be a little bland, but the added energy and boosted mood from eating them makes up for it.

Becoming impatient if anything for the lot of the fat to be off of me as I don't feel fat anymore, it is just there on the end of me. It needs to go!

These numbers are really good, and obviously the result of a lot of hard work and dedication. Keep it up!

Maybe you've heard of EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), informally referred to as "afterburn." The concept is simply this: by keeping the intensity of your workouts high, you elevate your base metabolic rate, and you continue to burn calories long after you've finished exercising (around the 48 hour mark.) What this means is that, while running is great for overall health and it will burn fat while you're doing it, strength training and high intensity interval training are not only more fun but they will also allow your body to continue burning fat even while you're sat at work the next day. Here's a link to a more detailed article on Bodybuilding.com, which includes some really good exercise suggestions as well.

If you're super strict about being vegan, then yes your dishes run the risk of being a little bland. Here's a couple of links I grabbed quickly, one specifically for vegan sauces and dips and one for Vegangela.com, where you'll find a bunch of great looking recipes. What I will invite you to explore is the allowance of eggs and perhaps milk into your diet. Obviously if you're incredibly strict with this vegan route then that's not an option, but it seems you're doing it for wellbeing reasons - which in itself is a great reason to re-include eggs. From a sanity perspective (ie "I really want sauce on my food") it seems beneficial to include eggs and whole milk as well. I very rarely put together a sauce because I just crack an egg or stir in a small amount of mozzarella or goat's cheese into my cooked rice or pasta. Just something to think about. Smiley

Becoming impatient if anything for the lot of the fat to be off of me as I don't feel fat anymore, it is just there on the end of me. It needs to go!

We all feel like this at some point. My goals at the minute are quite the opposite of yours, I'm looking to gain weight in the form of muscle, and if I could make weight gain progress like you are making weight loss progress then I'd have hit my targets months ago! You're doing really well mate, don't lose heart.
