Did back & bi's today, enjoyed it but do not like dead lifts. I don't know why but I'm really uncomfortable when doing them. Any alternatives I can try?

A lot of people leave them out of their routines because they're easier than other exercises to get wrong, but there's really no exercise quite like it. It doesn't matter if someone is looking to get swole or get lean, I'd suggest the barbell deadlift pretty much has to be part of the routine. Byronkincaid has posted some great videos here.

Next time Deadlift day rolls around, maybe don't worry about getting 4x6, just rack a couple of 10k plates and really focus on getting your form down. Just keep doing reps until you're tired and keep doing sets until you're comfortable. That might end up being something like 5x12 but it really doesn't matter; what's important is that you nail the form before you start adding a shitload of weight.

Perseverance is key.

Thank you. Back feels a bit sore, not sure if it's due to poor form or because I'm tired. I just get really worried about hurting my back having done it a few times.

I'll keep trying

Very happy with a loss seeing as I spent 3 days in the New Forest eating exactly what you probably shouldn't be eating
Thread very quiet, how's everyone getting on?

depends on genetics where you lose fat first, but fat tends to cling on to men round the waist and women round the hips i fink so maybe just dieting would do the trick?

i guess if you've tried that already and it didn't work you could try some hip thrust, squat, deadlift kinda stuff?
