Sorry haven't had a chance to post, but the semi final of the Essex Vase is tonight - live on RPGTV. We've got one runner (8.18 Deanridge Pennys) antepost.

Actually like it's draw tonight, top 2 into the final live on Sky next Tuesday.

Edit : Think we also bet Noirs Allen on here too - that's in the second semi.

Hoping the track is fair tonight.  Last week was all outside.  Really like Bubbly gold tonight.  Fastest clock last week with bias against him.  Should be fav for me in this race.  All the mug cash for bob keeping his price low giving us some value i think.

Agree with that too - and remembered the bias you mentioned last week when I saw Pennys in trap 1 I was hoping it'd be fair. Romford going is very fast at the moment though - that would be my worry for betting Bubbly or any dog that needs to come from behind.

I have to confess.  I just hit the cash out button for the first time ever in my life.  Pretty sure i had the best of it even though.  I backed the last fav at Dundalk ew at 4/9 when it was 1.45 on bf win/ 1.05 to place.  Right on the off it has drifted out to 1.83 to win/1.12 to place.  How much % wise do you think i should have had to pay to cash out at that point?   I was surprised how little it was so hit the cash out button.  Obviously the friendless good thing hosed up.

Let's assume i had £100 ew on.  How much would u have been happy to cash out for on the off given the price moves?

Pennys is through to the final, we have 20/1 ew first 4, ran well from bend 3 again to get up and qualify in 2nd, losing by about a length to the winner.

Last week I noticed it ran off slightly at bend 3 however this week ran a better bend. Improving with each run - hopefully can get a nice draw in final (would take T1 again) and stay a bit closer round bends 1 and 2.

Just caught the heat

Ran really well to my novice eye looked to have to switch twice as well to get a run

34.79 - tracks flying as expected, although no real excuses for Gold - Bob just class round Romford sadly.

I wasn't convinced bob would lead 5 that easily.

It has def favoured the wides all night at romford though again imo.  Wouldn't be writing off Bubbly gold too quickly in the final.

Sigh we've drawn trap 3 in the final. I don't think it's an absolute disaster to be honest as I can see red moving into trap 2. If we can slot in along the inside while they have a bit of mess to the bend, we might be able to sneak round the inside.

We've got 5/1 top 4 and i'll be pretty gutted if we can't make that with our style of running. Should the above happen and Bob and Clipper not do each other favours to the bend then who knows?
