Widely reported that Remi Garde isn't happy at the lack of transfers in. Considering his future.

Believe we are on Alex Neil next to go?

Garde reported as saying:

"As a new manager I would have expected new faces to support my changes.

"I made a recommendation to the board to try to sign players for the team because we needed that.

"In some games we are close to competing, but we need a little bit of quality.

"I cannot do more. I tried to sign them, I worked on very hard, but for different reasons we couldn't."

"Remi Garde to review his future at AVFC in summer after NO signings despite being promised cash when joined"

i would think someone somewhere will be gone before the summer

Yes, the summer is fine. Problem is whether these comments have damaged his relationship with the board and with the squad.

This made me chuckle

"He will not leave you unmoved," it began. "He will not go unnoticed. Marseille has added a Scotsman to the mix. And if you know anything about the mentality of that people, you'll know that's good news."

However, the club's media department also said Fletcher "is not known to be a technical player", has a "frank look" and a "simplicity in exchange".

Blackburn 5 points of relegation, out of form and about to lose Rhodes. They could be in for a tough end of season.

Relegation: 40/1, think could be a bet with a throw away tenner

which of the 5 who arte down there improve to make up 5+ points on Blackburn?

Bolton?
Rotherham?
Charlton?
Bristol C?
MK Don't defend?

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/relegation

3 of them need to record 4-5 more points than Blackburn for relegation to be a possibility

but its 40-1.

do we (throwing it out) think this is a realistic possiblity?

Might be easy to question who is going to be able to make the 5 points up, but it is the Championship after all and 5 points seems very little in my eyes. Blackburn also the only team (I think, without looking) that are left in the FA Cup & that does nobody league chances any favours.

I think it could be worth a tenner.

Also, I am interested to see views on Wednesday v Burnley

Wednesday, 13/8, athome to Burnley. Good home record and an addition yesterday in the market. Wednesday playing a weakened side at Shrewsbury and Burnley a full team, away to Arsenal.

I turn off the radio when Coldplay come on, but looking at the song titles, I would have titles like Adventure of a Lifetime and A sky full of stars set a tone for the evening?

But I repeat I don't listen to Coldplay, and the words could be totally out of kilter with the title.

Got a few colleagues who are season ticket holders at Rovers and they are happy to see the back of Rhodes. Sure he knows where the goal is but his touch and hold up play is below average at best. He has cost as many goals as he has scored this year.
Boro need to be careful to use a system that uses him best.

Danny graham won't score Roides goals but he could be what Lambert is looking for at that level.

40/1 though.......hmmmmm

20 goals a season, every season, since 2012. With Gaston Ramirez, Stewart Downing and Stuani feeding him the chances, I think he will do ok Smiley

We had Danny Graham here at Boro a few years ago, and he was a product of our youth acadamy. He will run around a lot and try hard, but he is a definite downgrade from Rhodes.

Blackburn have lost all their goals in Gestede and Rhodes. I honestly think they will struggle.

On Blackburn, it probably  isn't necessary to work out how the teams below are going to get points.
On average, 47 points keeps you up (although there is a wide variation - 54pts has got relegated, and 40 has stayed up).
It is tracking to be on the lower side of the average at present, therefore we are probably looking at 42-45 points to stay up.

Blackburn currently have 30 from 27. We are punting that they get less that 15pts, and maybe as few as 11 or 12 from their remaining 19 games.

I like the Wednesday v Burnley bet. Double away in less than a week is usually good to oppose.

Just looked at prices tonight on football.

West Ham are 19/20 against Villa. Thought they would be shorter.

West Ham looked a very good side at home against Man City last weekend. Payet back looking a class act.

Villa have signed no one in transfer window, manager bleating about situation, hardly conducive for building confidence.

Any one got a view?

Shortened on bf to a midpoint of 2.58, can still get 13/8 with baldy
