Arboy is like the Blonde Donald Trump.

You see what he is on about, and think, yes this guy has a point, but the arrogant manner he uses to tell you means you could never like the bloke. He claims he doesn't care about being popular, because he knows he is right and he has loads of money.

Then because he keeps on telling you how great he is and how correct he is all the fricking time,  you just think you would just rather be worse off than give the guy the opportunity to tell you how right he was again. You know his hotels are great, but you don't want to put a penny more in his pocket.

So, as people grow tired of hearing Donald tell everyone how right he is all the time and many people start to lose interst, he finds an opportunity to pick on another minority with force and fury to grab back the headlines, so the supporters yell 'Go Donald',  while the rest of us just sit back, shaking our heads, thinking 'This guy could have been the solution, but as he acts like such a dick all the time, I just can't listen any more'

You'd rather be worse off and not listen ?

I wouldn't .

Not enough credit given to Arb for the money he gives all of us.

I can put up with a bit of name calling.

What does that make me ?

Smiley

Morning Lisa,

That my be fine for you, & perhaps others, but not for everyone, some of us don't like to be demeaned, insulted & embarrassed for posting an opinion.

ALL opinions are valid - we read them, & then put them into the equation to form our opinion.

There is no shortage of gratitude to Argue for the value he brings us, & I'm certainly grateful for it, as are many others. However, keeping this place civil, a place where readers & contributors can feel comfortable, & enjoy themselves, & post freely without fear of being bullied & mocked, is equally important, arguably more important. It's not all about money, the thread, & blonde, is about people having a little fun, relaxing, & chilling.

I do not want to have my name on a thread where people are scared to post for fear of being called out & harassed, & I'm not going to allow it to happen. Manners may not matter to everyone, & that's fine, but they do to me.

My apologies to fatcatstu, & I hope you keep posting.

 Hi Tikay,

I failed miserably again to make my point.

I was thinking about my own failings in being prepared to compromise my principals for personal gain.

A long article on Fred fave, Vishy Anand, who won a prestigious Indian award called the Hridaynath Award. It recognises excellence in a field. As the article explains, Anand is the first sportsman to win it, so Tendulkar, Kohli and Dhoni will have to wait and hope. This gives you an idea of how revered Anand is.

No post award interview?
I think we need to know where he intends to store that turban.
If only there was someone who could ask searching questions like this.

You have to leave the crowd wanting more. The 20 minute Q&A and the hours of speeches beforehand was little more than a filthy tease.

Good morning all! Yes, it is just past midnight in the UK now, but I'm on Chinese time for obvious reasons, and just got out of bed!

Yesterday saw two of the most eventful Friday practice sessions for a long time, and I expect that to continue into FP3 and Qualifying as thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected. FP3 kicks off at 5AM UK time.

Sadly I have no further bets to recommend, there are less markets than usual for some reason, and they're all priced fairly well at the moment. Perhaps this will change after FP3, but I doubt any of you guys will be online then to book the bets!

P.S. Thanks to those who are placing bets for the thread Smiley

you might argue that the field is stronger in terms of depth and thus more of a field can hit maximums, that break building is better, that this expalins why the incidence might rise and that would all be fine. its not "due" though. in my opinion.

I did notice that the number of centuries in qualifying was much higher this year than in previous years, which suggests more players are capable of knocking them in. I'd be more inclined to use that knowledge and back overs on total centuries rather than hope for someone to bink a max though.

The market I found most interesting was player to get the highest break. It's priced roughly in line with the outright market as you'd expect a likely winner to have more attempts at a big score throughout the event, but seems to me that a proven high scoring player like John Higgins is much more likely to find a random big break than win the thing. (See Hendry a few years back for the perfect example).

I know we don't do spreads but someone else might have an opinion on this and/or want to get involved for a snooker sweat.

I have a ton ups bet I like. Chap called Zhang Anda you can buy his tournament ton ups @ 11. Came through qualifying getting a big century in each round (all 130+) along with another dozen or so 50+ breaks. Playing Joe Perry so shouldn't be a walkover and therefore potential for a bonus match or two for a fun sweat if he can be one of the (normal in recent years) 1st round upsets. No negative make up to market so you know your max exposure but fighting chance of a tidy upside.

Wouldn't be going mad on it as could easily lose with no big break, but I like that he's got his eye in with a few competitive long format matches (including scalping Wenbo) and clearly not averse to racking up a decent break.

Was preparing for a tail between legs apology earlier when he finished the session 1-8 down. However he's now binked a 132 break on the way back to 4-8 so sweat is on.

How do you say freeroll in Chinese? Wink

Plus Mr Ton-up bink from last year is through the qualifiers once more in 2016 taking on Barry Hawkins. Can buy @ 11 again so would be rude not to have another go!

Kyren Wilson World Snooker Championship 4th Quarter Winner
10/1
Total Stake: £10.00
Potential Returns: £110.00

will wait on the other one to see if bet365 help is forthcoming. its the bet i prefer of the two bingham v carter bets

£20 of the stake is on for the Carter over 0.5 centuries at evens on my b366 account.

From memory, there is a small balance owed to me from months ago. We can settle up whenever suits Tikay.

Morning Rick, thanks for this.

I'm a little embarrassed that I owe you money from months ago, I was either not aware, or had forgotten.

If you want to PM me your bank Details, & the amount, I'll pay it immediately, including the latest addition.

Fingers crossed Mr Carter does the job, & we'll be on the other side of the ledger soon.

china GP Qualifying

Perez our main bet to date qualified top 10

Rosberg got pole, was 2/10ths down on the Ferraris then blew them away on the final run

Hamilton starts at the back, engine problem.

Its interesting he's more mature when problems hit, talks to all the media, smiles and shrugs, but might he possibly be lacking a bit of competitive fire? seems too relaxed?

Peter if you have any bets for the race it would help if they could go up by early afternoon please as i am off all day and tikay is only on for part of the day

Tighty will be AWOL most of today, so Team Misclick will be in charge, at least until early afternoon when I'll disappear.

The big betting race of the day seems to be the Scottish Grand National, 30 runners, 10/1 the field, & about 20/1 bar 8. Most (but not all) Firms go 5 places, qtr odds. Of the bigger Firms, Wm Hill, Sporting Bet & 888 only pay 4 places. With 30 runners, this looks a great spot for misclicking.

The going is reportedly good to soft, though I heard on the wireless this morning that it is snowing in many parts of Scotland.

The oddschecker prices are here.......

Any sensible suggestions, stick 'em up, though I'd appreciate help from the horse racing specialists in assessing their merits.

If Nico keeps up this domination, Lewis will crack. It's a fascinating psychological battle between the two of them. I don't believe Lewis is slower than last season, but Nico is just being more aggressive with his car, and driving closer to the limit. The trigger for this was the USGP last year when the pair collided at turn one. Nico saw it as unfair, and since then has just gone into super aggressive mode. Seems to be working for him.

Noted. I'll get the bets up around midday UK time.

I backed Highland Lodgewhen it didn't get in the GN last week, and think it's got plenty going for it here.

Goes well fresh, will go on the ground, light weight, and trip shouldn't be a problem.

Can get 16/1 & 1/4 1-5 with several bookies.

Betfair is only just above 16/1 on the win, and under on the place.

*Hills are 18/1 about Highland Lodge, but showing 1-4 1/4 in the betting slip.

If you did not get the "Exclusive" offer, then it's only 4 places. That'll be an interesting use of the term "exclusive", but it' certainly wont be available to all. Just ice creams, I guess.

I do know you are a stickler for good manners, so I should have realised the point you were making.

Anyway, let's hope everyone here can show each other a bit more respect from now on.
