Tighty will be AWOL most of today, so Team Misclick will be in charge, at least until early afternoon when I'll disappear.

The big betting race of the day seems to be the Scottish Grand National, 30 runners, 10/1 the field, & about 20/1 bar 8. Most (but not all) Firms go 5 places, qtr odds. Of the bigger Firms, Wm Hill, Sporting Bet & 888 only pay 4 places. With 30 runners, this looks a great spot for misclicking.

The going is reportedly good to soft, though I heard on the wireless this morning that it is snowing in many parts of Scotland.

The oddschecker prices are here.......

Any sensible suggestions, stick 'em up, though I'd appreciate help from the horse racing specialists in assessing their merits.

I backed Highland Lodgewhen it didn't get in the GN last week, and think it's got plenty going for it here.

Goes well fresh, will go on the ground, light weight, and trip shouldn't be a problem.

Can get 16/1 & 1/4 1-5 with several bookies.

Betfair is only just above 16/1 on the win, and under on the place.

*Hills are 18/1 about Highland Lodge, but showing 1-4 1/4 in the betting slip.

If you did not get the "Exclusive" offer, then it's only 4 places. That'll be an interesting use of the term "exclusive", but it' certainly wont be available to all. Just ice creams, I guess.

Interesting.  I didn't get it either, so guess that means I am on the borders of the big stick and you aren't.  Glad I found out the offer had changed, though I haven't used it much  recently.

I have Cause of Causes in the big one, though not sure if is fred worthy.

Like him too, would have rather seen him in the national as he excellent round those fences. Sweat will be from the start, he probably needs to lead or at least be very handy and the SN is usually ridic pace early. I like a good skin's profile for the race aswell.

Kyren Wilson World Snooker Championship 4th Quarter Winner
10/1
Total Stake: £10.00
Potential Returns: £110.00

will wait on the other one to see if bet365 help is forthcoming. its the bet i prefer of the two bingham v carter bets

£20 of the stake is on for the Carter over 0.5 centuries at evens on my b366 account.

From memory, there is a small balance owed to me from months ago. We can settle up whenever suits Tikay.

Morning Rick, thanks for this.

I'm a little embarrassed that I owe you money from months ago, I was either not aware, or had forgotten.

If you want to PM me your bank Details, & the amount, I'll pay it immediately, including the latest addition.

Fingers crossed Mr Carter does the job, & we'll be on the other side of the ledger soon.

Thanks Tikay, no need to be embarrassed though.

It was only around a fiver and I suggested rolling it over for later. I'll have the exact number on a PM with you or Tighty.

Lets see how Carter gets on and settle up at end of month or whenever is easy for you.

We've had a mini Saturday Sweat with this Marky, £10 EW Highland Lodge with WH, @ 16/1.

The betslip says 4 places, but we have the 5 place offer so I guess that's a manual adjustment.

china GP Qualifying

Perez our main bet to date qualified top 10

Rosberg got pole, was 2/10ths down on the Ferraris then blew them away on the final run

Hamilton starts at the back, engine problem.

Its interesting he's more mature when problems hit, talks to all the media, smiles and shrugs, but might he possibly be lacking a bit of competitive fire? seems too relaxed?

Peter if you have any bets for the race it would help if they could go up by early afternoon please as i am off all day and tikay is only on for part of the day

If Nico keeps up this domination, Lewis will crack. It's a fascinating psychological battle between the two of them. I don't believe Lewis is slower than last season, but Nico is just being more aggressive with his car, and driving closer to the limit. The trigger for this was the USGP last year when the pair collided at turn one. Nico saw it as unfair, and since then has just gone into super aggressive mode. Seems to be working for him.

Noted. I'll get the bets up around midday UK time.

Qualifying analysis done, now to look through the markets! Shouldn't be more than 25 mins now Smiley

I think we've won too much money on F1, the amount of markets available is so much less than usual ..

Anyhow, here are my suggestions:

Race Winner - Lewis Hamilton @ 11/1 with paddipower. 10/1 is okay with others. Despite Lewis starting from the back of the grid, Lewis still has a car that's good enough to finish second. If that happens, it becomes first should Nico retire, and that's what makes this price too high. Suggest £5 EW 1/3 (1-2).

Points Finish - Nico Hulkenberg @ 13/10 with beewin. Above evens is okay with others. Given Force India's pace this weekend, particularly on the soft tyre, this is more of a probability rather than a possibility. Above evens is silly. Suggest £20.

Top Six Finish - Sergio Perez @ 7/2 with paddipower/ladladbrokes/betfayre/beewin. Similar reasoning to above. This is less likely than Hulkenberg getting into the points, but the price is higher than it should be.

Disappointingly, that's all there is based on the current markets. I'll have another look later this evening Smiley

What's the weather forecast, Peter? Would unpredictability might favour the McLarens? Jenson was so uncomplimentary about the tyre degradation, it sounds like he'd welcome less resistance.

A little carnage would also help Lewis, of course.

For the National, I'm on Millborough at 40/1. Low weight with a 3lb claimer on top. Very happily stays 4 miles (won the Eider) and won't mind the soft ground.

Have also backed Tour des Champs, which I think will also benefit from the longer trip.

Any views?

Incred scenes.

Bolton just took the lead v Smoggies.

Chesterfield are 2-0 down at home, but still feel they're just gonna escape. Probably finish fifth bottom.

Sadly Millborough's chances have diminished a lot since it's one of the three that I'm on Tal.  So that others can strike them off their lists the other two I've backed are Golden Chieftain which cost me chunks when it fell at the last in the Midlands National and Berea Boru.

I definitely think the winner is among the low weights. Somewhere!

Result pretty much irrel from here. Bolton went off 9 on the machine and were traded for plenty at odds-on when in front.

Thread can ill afford to lose Arb.

Don't think anyone disagrees with the last statement, but in turn, sure it can't be that hard to behave like an adult.

Even I manage to do it nowadays (most of the time)
