If you did it every week you'd definitely lose a fortune as there is a 150 minute spread which is about 3/4% edge I guess.  I only do it occasionally if I know I am watching Soccer Saturday because every goal counts so just hope to get lucky on the week where there is a goal bonanza.  It's a fun bet though if you are happy to take a 1000 point loss on the chin if you blow out.

Result broadcast tonight.

You can find out the result by checking out oddschecker on the outright market to win.

Or the betting account you used of course.

I initially thought that WBA, who play away at Chelsea in the noon kick off, repped value at a general 12/1 (14/1 in places) & 5/1 the draw repped a bit of value.

Chelsea are 1st/2nd, WBA 8th.

Think I talked myself out of it though when I looked at WBA's results this season - they have only played 2 top 6 teams, Spurs (D) & Man City (battered).

So maybe not, then. Not sure I'd want to be on Chelsea at 1/4 though.

Unrelated, yesterday's Premier League results must have been a bonanza for the BTTS boys. It could click again today, too.

Premier league

From 146 matches played so far, 427 goals have been scored, an average of 2.9 goals per match.

If the present ratio were maintained, the 2016/17 season would finish with 1,111 goals, almost 50 more than the 1,066 in the previous highest-scoring season, in 2011/12.

high press, combined with standard of defending (defenders sometimes picked for theuir distribution rather than defending)
broader spread of talent, even the sides at the bottom go for it.
Only really Pulis and Jose (away at big sides) setting up to frustrate opponents etc
some teams, eg Palace, simply can't defend

Can add City to that last bit Smiley

Is the reason why about 5 weeks in I ripped my 'solid' fantasy football defence to pieces, put in some cheapo defenders and went hell for leather on the attack. Apart from Chelsea, clean sheets are few and far between and its not worth having a good FF back line this season.

Got 0-0 written all over it at O/T today....

I'm liking a D/St touchdown in the Vikings game. Blake Bortles is a pick 6 machine and has more of them than game wins in his career. The Vikings are one of the best defences in the league. Admittedly the Jags don't do either interceptions or special teams plays. But this game has the highest odds of the week on 365 at 9/4.

I can place if wanted. Just realise it's way too late for this so doubt it will get seen. Sorry for the late  notice. Again. I'm pretty useless with this!

I have a bet on my spreadsheet i'd kinda forgotten about but you prompted me to check to see the specifics. Some weird Hills promo in build up to Premier League kickoff. With 33 days to go they went 33/1 about 1080+ goals in Prem season. Bet that would be a bunch shorter now!

BBC is reporting that Mercedes have had a bid for Bottas rejected for next season.   Not sure whether is positive or negative.  Odds on betfair have gone out slightly

It's an Andrew Benson article, so I would doubt the accuracy .. however let's assume it's true. I see this as a good thing for the Bottas bets. You wouldn't expect Williams to accept the first offer as they're obviously going to look to maximise the deal on their part. But, clearly Bottas is the #1 target for Mercedes, which is very promising. I know for a fact that Mercedes and Valtteri have already discussed contractual terms.

Seems to be talk of Paddy Lowe going to Williams as part of the deal. Allison to Mercedes?

This sounds like an incredibly complicated deal. Good luck sorting all this out.
