Pretty unbelievable win for Di Grassi after pitting on lap 17 of a 45-lap race and needing a new rear wing! Great tipping Peter, congrats any who got on.

Lovely work, Ant, well done.

A handy 3 points for Palace, too. Everyone's a winner.

After a poor start, Sam seems to have got them ticking along well now. They gonna stay up?

Thanks for the kind words from everyone else and you Tikay.

I think Palace will stay up as Milovejic, Zaha, Sakho and Benteke are probably a bit too good to not have us get 9 points from the remaining 9 games, despite how tough the run in is and that would have us probably safe on 40 points.

Things could be made easier with Boro, Swansea and Hull having bad turns of form but Hull in particular has no interest in doing that. So interestingly all the lower half of the table are going to be at least somewhat worried about the drop and you may see someone from that crop go down out of nowhere.

This weekend the ERCC QFs

Unfortunately our two bets drew each other as 4th and 5th seeds.

the bets are

ERCC    Wasps   7/1   40   £20 e/w 1/2 1,2
ERCC    Leinster   33/1   30   £15 e/w 1/2 1,2

Unfortunately again if Leinster win they are likely to have to go to Clermont, the 1 seed. Wasps would have an easier path (away QF winners rewarded with home SF tie)

some quick thoughts

In european cup quarter finals there have been 61 home wins & 19 away wins.  a 76% success rate for home clubs. not a huge surprise the 1-4 seeds get drawn at home to the 5-8 seeds

Saturday 1st April

3.15pm Leinster v Wasps

The fourth and fifth seeds meet in the first quarter-final and a match between two pool winners. Wasps ended as the fifth seed in part because of a controversial late loss at Connacht that denied them sufficient points to obtain a higher seeding.

Leinster have been in the vanguard of the turn-around in performance of the Irish provinces in the ERCC this season after several years in the doldrums. Notwithstanding injuries to the very experienced Heaslip and Kearney, Leinster’s players form the bulk of the Irish national team and Dublin is a tough place to go looking for a result as the away team.

Leinster lead the Pro 12 with 15 wins out of 18 games and Wasps lead the Aviva Premiership with 14 wins an a draw from their 18 games,so this is a high-powered contest. Wasps have an attacking style and are very exciting to watch but are underdogs here, unsurprisingly as the away team

It should be a very close match, highly likely to be one score in it either way. Odds for the game are Leinster 4/7 Wasps 17/10 and +/-4 on the points handicap.

It’s a tough one to call, i suppose at 33/1 we funk for Leinster and either way we'll have a team in the semis

Nice when a plan comes together like that, well done Rich.

Leinster are now a general 7/2.

Konta up to 7th in the world rankings

Wimbledon   Konta   66/1   30   £15 e/w 1/2 1,2
US Open   Konta   33/1   50      £25 e/w 1/2 1,2

A runner live in the ERCC Semis, will be tough in France but Leinster are a much improved team

ERCC   Leinster   33/1   30            £15 e/w 1/2 1,2

bit of a brutal 96th minute winner for Burton at Hddersfield for us yesterday. Burton now 4 points off the bottom 3

Fleetwood lost again at home, now only 3rd on goal difference. Form has tailed off completely

Fiver on Charlton to be relegated at 66-1 if anyone can oblige. Price too big.

Scott Sinclair has a hatrick in the Scottish pub league.  Most unwelcome for Dembele bets Sad

The Lions went to war with the Sharks at Ellis Park yesterday. Awesome game and the three minute round up doesn't do it justice.

Now 5-1 after six rounds.

I'm kind of hoping no one followed me in on the Golf? I saw an interview with Brittany Lincicome where she said that her neck was fine. That evening I saw the full interview where she said that her neck was fine at the moment even though she couldn't turn to the left and her caddie was lining everything up for her. Obviously had I seen the full answer first time round I wouldn't have bet her and certainly wouldn't have recomended her. It goes without saying she missed the cut.

Ariya Jutanugarn is five shots off going into the last round. She hasn't had the best of the weather but if anyone can shoot low then she's the one. Mixed feelings though as my favourite, Lexi Thompson, leads by two. Would be typical for her to win the week I don't have money on her. Bitch.

Haven't watched the third round yet but there was an hole in one again, this time by an amateur, Eun Jeong Seong, in the first round. I've seen a video of it but can't find a link on you tube.

Later.

It's WM.

Miz to lose and JC to propose in the middle of the ring afterwards.

If I was having a punt on any match tonight, I'd be looking at rules and finding a way to bet Wyatt walking out as SD champ.

Worth us adding a little £5/£10 ew Danny Berger to the Masters portfolio?

Playing very nicely in Shell and 10th on his(I think)debut last year in the big one.

100-1 available in places but generally 80-1.

Oh he's Scotty Sinclair and he is so wonderful,
when he scores a goa,l oh it is beautiful its magical

Didn't really get the bet at the time, I watch Celtic every week and couldn't have picked the winner there at the time and prices didn't look massively wrong.
I suppose that's what happens when Englandshire non league fans get involved in the pub league that they have next to no knowledge of.

In better news Aberdeen are 10 points clear of Sevco/Rangers with 8 games to go Smiley
