Pretty bad news for the NBA bets. Tony Parker, the point guard of the San Antonio spurs, has ruptured a tendon in his quadricep. We've got them to win the western conference and the NBA Championship itself. They've got a decent enough back up in Patty Mills, but it's not doubt a huge blow for Fred's bets. I think Nibali is really good each way value at 6/1 top 3 1/4 odds in the Giro D'Italia which started today. He is second favourite behind Quintana (who is about evens)

His each way price is significantly better than the top three price - some bookies have taken their odds down now but was around 3/4, 4/5.

He has won the Giro twice before including a crazy comeback win last year. He has also won La Vuelta and the Tour De France. Although Quintana has better form this season and is a beast in the mountains, he is also targeting the Tour De France, wheras Nibali is solely focusing on the Giro. The Giro is a race that throws up random events and surprises, so I'm not sure I want to bet someone as short as evens. I like the 6/1 on Nibali and especially the each way bet. He is more of an all rounder, he is a seasoned Grand Tour rider, his team is new and solid. The last four times he has rode this race his results are 1, 1, 2, 3.

The bet in question is Dream Castle to win the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

The horse ran in the Greenham, and travelled like a superstar, trading at 1.03 before weakening close home and getting collared.

He runs in the Guineas tomorrow, but I think he's very doubtful to stay and the obvious move is to drop him down to this G1 prize.

If he shows up well tomorrow, but gets beaten, I think he'll be favourite for this race.
