In the Real v Spurs game, 10 minutes left and there have been a whopping 16 corners so far - 8 to each team.

Logic of the bet was fine. We've looked threatening on both the corners that didn't hit the first man...

I like Bury to beat Blackpool. Blackpool were massively flattered by their good start and got way more goals from outside the area than you'd expect.

Southend should beat Posh and it could get nasty. They're not playing for the gaffer one bit and Orange Phil has one over us big time.

Further to my post and Chompy's response recommend Bury at 16/5 with Baldy for £20.

One last thought - surprised to see Rotherham out to 9/5 away at Wimbledon with BVic. Looks a big price for a team bang in form.

The more I try to learn from footy betting, the more the oddballs like this dont present great opportunities, it is often that THEY know something we dont.

Hopefully cue a massive Rotherham win!!

When you get results like this you feel like there should be a stewards enquiry, as to how the bookies knew, and priced accordingly, but it keeps happening.

Its akin to Chompy telling you what P'Boro will do next, you must always back the opposite, as I'm sure he is just teeing up the price the other side for himself! Wink

Game looks fairly balanced on stats, so the bet was likely good, but there is nothing odd about one of the teams winning by the odd goal.  I just don't get where you are coming from.  Some good bets will lose, some bad bets will win, just got to keep plugging away.

Just saying that I would have had the game priced up a lot more even. Same as one of the games we looked at over the weekend. Form team much bigger price than expected, suddenly hit a flat spot against a team much lower in the league who then turn in a surprisingly good effort.

Amazing how many times the bad guys get it right and lure us in.

PS, they won by the odd two goals. Wink

No big deal, just an observation.

Thought you were talking about Blackpool Bury.

Just rehash similar comments for Wimbledon Rotherham Wink

The NBA season starts in a week or so. Anything in the ante post markets, main or player or team?

Don't know enough about NBA to suggest anything, but I thought this was interesting;

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/basketball/41662878

Cliffs - Boston Celtics signed a player for £97 milly - & he broke his ankle in Boston Celtics opening game.

Whatever way you look at it, that's gotta hurt.

That's his salary over the length of his contract.  Not a transfer fee like in football.

https://www.oddschecker.com/basketball/nba/nba-championship/regular-season-mvp

On the back of this injury his team mate K Irving is probably too big at 16/1 for the MVP given he will have to shoulder a much bigger work load now for the team and he will be very hungry to prove moving away from the Cavs to join Boston was the right move.  Defintiely worth a decent interest at 16/1.  £50 win

https://www.oddschecker.com/basketball/nba/nba-championship/rookie-of-the-year

On a similar line Tatum for rookie of the year is too big at 14/1.   This is probably even stronger than the Irving bet.  He will directly replace the injured Haywood in the line up and the ROY prices were based on him being a bit part player for a contender.  Now he will probably have a starting spot or greatly increased minutes at worse.  £100 win

Thanks.

Tighty is MIA this afternoon as far as I can see, but he asked for some NBA interest, so I've bitten the bullet & got on - or tried to.

No luck with that one - he is now 8/1 generally. Corals go a mythical (for Fred) 12/1, but they won't lay us a bean.

So I've left that one unless advised otherwise.

Do £50 at 8/1 if you can't get the mythical 12/1 left.

Done exactly that.

Wm Hill told me a weird guy from the Fens hoovered up all the 16/1.
