Interesting. I guess that's where a lot of the money came from earlier in the week and again for tonight. Doubt mine of Omm's £3 with the green cretins did the damage.
I did the Sedgefield race for the paper and wrote:
"Finished second in a soft-ground Irish maiden point in January; out of a bumper winner who's a half-sister to bumper/staying hurdle winner Triumph Davis; trainer only has a fair record in these races but is an impressive 5-7 with runners here."
That aside, George would definitely be a surprise name for Kate's third sprog. Didn't stop Ladbrokes putting it in at 40-1 the other day though.

The name of the new royal sprog is ALBERT.
100% certain. No, 110% certain. It was in the Daily Mail.
Gill knows these things.
I'm so confident she is correct I'd bet up to 50p on it.

4-11 favourite now.
Prince Albert you say?
Hard to believe the kid's gonna get any stick about that when he goes to Eton.

First sprog is called George Louis Alexander. All previous kingy names.
So it's not going to be Alexander I guess. Or George, which Coral and Ladbrokes have at 40-1. Ffs.
The only one that fits my theory now is Fred-er-ick. I'm switching positions here. 63p @ 18-1 please.

Prince Albert? Surely there is no way that happens. Might as well just call him Aaron Mycock and get all the knob jokes in early.

Tranmere play their final game on sat. They are assured 2nd place and a playoff spot no matter the result.
Similar situation to last year when on the final day of the season Micky Mellon fielded the youth team to preserve for the play offs
On Tues we were home v solihull moors - a team we beat 9-0 last year - Mellon put out a chunk of the youth team and lost 2-1.
Tranmere have been playing a sat - Tues schedule recently due to postponed fixtures so it's likely he will rest players again, and we may see another run out for the youth team.
Their opponents hartlepool are 17/4. That does somewhat reflect the likelihood of players being rested, but Mellon has form for literally playing his youth team pre play offs
Might be worth a small bet
3/1 ish now https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/non-league/national-league/tranmere-v-hartlepool/winnersorry i missed it

Starting to look thin now as there is the always the chance he puts rested players back in for match sharpness reasons etc. When the teams were leaked for Solihull the away team went off as slight favorites, but does look like any big edge has gone for this game
