Suggest ew bets on My Lord and Master and Baydar.

Thanks Adzy, both bets ON, though we got restricted to £20 EW on each due to that price boost thing.

I think it’s too big. I guess I think it’s like ~6/1, perhaps even a little shorter.

I don’t think so, I’m close to a bet on Arsenal, even at 8/13. I’ll leave it though.

Bernardo Silva.

We already have him for YPOTY at 16/1. He's currently 2nd fave in that market and probably City's standout performer so far, playing in a team of standout performers.

But he's 100/1 for POTY.

I have a sneaky feeling he's going to win one or the other, the guy is an absolute football wonder. I believe he might beat Sterling to YPOTY but I think 100/1 is beyond ridic not to have a dabble.

Edit....should probs mention his age as its quite important for these markets. He's 24, so last year of qualifying for YPOTY. Also makes him not a 'kid' in the football sense.

What is the process for deciding these awards (POTY, YPOTY etc), the who & the how? Journos, footballers, public etc? Is it a vote?, how many vote? etc.

Very unlikely a player who's eligible for YPOTY can win POTY imo.

Its the PFA so fellow players.

As per Wiki....

Every spring, each member of the association votes for two players.[3] A shortlist of nominees is published in April and the winner of the award, along with the winners of the PFA's other annual awards, is announced at a gala event in London a few days later.[4] The award is regarded by the players themselves as extremely prestigious, with Teddy Sheringham describing it in 2001 as "the biggest personal award you can get in the game",[5] and John Terry stating in 2005 that he considered it "the ultimate accolade to be voted for by your fellow professionals whom you play against week-in and week-out".[6]

Chomps is of course correct, it's certainly a long shot for a player eligible to take the YPOTY to scoop POTY. It shouldn't make any difference but Silva is only just eligible for YPOTY; he's not an emerging talent, more a refined footballer really taking the league by storm. Very popular player too, which can only help his cause.

There is nothing to say he can't bag both (been done twice previously, Bale and Ronaldo), though that would require a worldy of a season. My line of thinking is that as it stands, it's mostly between Sterling and B.Silva for YPOTY, and mostly between Hazard and D.Silva for POTY.

If B.Silva carries this form on throughout the season, he's gonna win one of them. He is that good. Ditto Sterling. But 2 into 1 doesn't go. So this is me going on my (considerable) gut instinct but I think if Sterling usurps B.Silva for YPOTY, that could squeeze B.Silva into the path of POTY (for reasons I can't explain, I don't think Sterling would be squeezed towards POTY should B.Silva win YPOTY)

I realise I am probably talking out of my (considerable) arse, and I wouldn't entertain it we're he not 100/1 (certainly not at the 20/1 he is elsewhere), and getting on gut feeling is probably not a great way to do it, but meh.

At least I'm not biased Smiley

always love the hfffyrrddrryyyrrr posts and the enthusiasm he posts about the City related bets, and he has made us all a good few quid too.

Not sure how old he is but he must have been a very frustrated punter for many.....many years, before his patience was rewarded.

Unless of course he has only just started supporting them Shocked
