It was indeed banana/chocolate- I can only ever have 1 cake on the go at any time as they would go stale.

There is something wonderfully endearing to me the teams that have a unique 2nd part to their team name. Preston, Accrington, Plymouth, Sheffield etc. But none of them ever seem to do very well!

Did you omit Tottenham deliberately, hector?

I rather like Aston, & Leyton, too.

We should do an acca on them all one Saturday.

I am developing a persecution complex but I did assume this was an unintended omission  Smiley

Reminds me of the old mackerel question (the only team in the 4 English divisions to have none of the letters from the word MACKEREL in its name - not including Football Club, of course)

Thanks Tonji. You really are into this Cycling lark, yes?

Strangely, Yes. Considering I don't own a bike  Smiley

First interest was back in the early 80s at university. A good mate was a top amateur rider. He later became a semi-pro rider in Belgium, but 2 years later a nasty crash ended his career.

Later, I lived on and off in France. Cycling is somewhat of an obsession over there. Over the years I've been to all the Grand Tours & many of the one day Classics.

Despite its many doping problems, I still find it a compelling sport. Wonderful racing in some of the most beautiful parts of Europe.

Test Max Alert.

Blimey, talk about "out of a clear blue sky".

I am around 10 miles west of Lords, & we are in the middle of a monster thunderstorm, and the rain is monsoon-like.  Hope they have good covers at Lords.

Swindon Town, a favourite amongst my uni friends while we getting our well earned degrees spending our student loans in the pub.

Bradford Park Avenue and Corinthian Casuals are favourites of mine.

We need Tighty's Pickle theory now

South Africa collapse all out, England have a sniff, SA have the time and inclination to bowl them out

If not SA might leave it too late, and not declare in time

Surely they are just going to bat until they are 10 down, with the series on the line.

which is why the thread needs them bowled out, assuming they are 300 on in the next 90 minutes

Surely even if England need the best part of 400 they still are dutibound to go for it?

Losing 2-0 is no worse than losing 1-0

but 300-320 is possible, 400 isn't. England have to go for it for longer, which gives more chance of a result.
