10-1 seems about the right price to me.

Think you'd be better off on the handicap if you think they might exceed expectations.

https://www.betfred.com/sports/event/14149758.2

That bet needs Aberdeen to exceed expectations & both Rangers and Celtic to meet the points total of last season. Main reason against it - I don't expect Celtic to have as bad a season, last year was a bit of a disaster stumbling from one crisis to another (as much as a disaster can be winning the treble - but it wasn't smooth running).

Iron's bet needs 2 things - 1 Aberdeen to continue in the form they had last year, Aberdeen have had a fairly settled summer so far, no big losses and their manager signing an extension, hopefully a bit of improvement from a settled squad..

2 Rangers to fall back. Rangers are being bigged up in the press again, but improvement relies on a few of their signings hitting the ground running and putting in a good season.
They just let Candeias go for less than they bought him for despite him being one of their more consistent performers.
They're on the wrong end of a court decision v Mike Ashley, with the Judge saying many millions of compensation would be due
They look to be forced to break their contract with Elite/Hummel to fulfil the broken one with Ashley, so can expect another compensation claim there.
Rangers threw money at it last year & overtook Aberdeen, and for a while seemed to be clinging on to Celtic, but in the end missed, they've financial strife in their immediate future again & with Ashley taking a big hit in his Debenhams & House of Fraser investments I don't see him leaving debts uncollected.

I don't see it as a certainty - but think the odds are skewed by the daft money on Rangers to win the league.

However, I would say the Celtic forum I go on generally opposed the bet.

I've backed it personally though - and I back Iron's £20 recommendation.

Only 1.02 for big four figures.  Surprised 1.01 wasn't done.   Cross looked all over the place there.   Ocean Finance currently engaged.  Couldn't get through.

Two bets in with 356 if someone can oblige?

£25EW Bristol City +13 in the Champo handicap @ 18-1. Like them for top six this season.

There's also a good argument for backing Leeds off scratch with Skybet for those who like them to win the league. Shy's handicaps are all really compressed this season.

Also, £25 Rashford to score 10 or fewer at 5-1. Spreadex have him getting 14. It's all very well assuming United will score more this season and that Rashford will suddenly crush it as the main focal point up front, but that's a lot of assumption. There's also the chance he gets injured. 5-1 is too big for someone with 27 club goals in 111 appearances.

Also, flick in a small bet on Fabinho for PFA POTY at 100-1 with Baldy please.

can i give you a league one relegation bet?

Bury and Bolton start with negative points and both might go under. Most likely only two spots to go at

Oxford finished 12th last season

Been the subject of 3 winding up attempts by the stadium landlord

Having to sell Gavin Whyte to cardiff to head that off for now

Three loan players from last season had the chance to join them permanently, all declined

Absentee owner, already been paying staff late

No new squad investment. young free transfers only in https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/oxford-united/transfers/verein/988

Double digit price

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-1/relegation

I only have BetFred & Wm Hill, & they quote;

Betfred - 8/1

WH - 7/1

So I can't even get close to "double figures" I'm afraid.

He now seems to be 66-1.

Poor old Freddy.

I went to Bedford Town v Poshies friendly on Tuesday and saw there was a Fred shop down the road from the ground. Baldy went 1-3 Bolton to finish in the bottom half, which was somewhat out of line (Sky 1-12 bottom half, 6-1 top hallf), especially considering they're odds-on for relegation and starting the season on -12.

Kid behind the counter was full of it to start with. "Do you have a maximum liability on seasonal football bets?" I asked. "Yes sir, you can back anything to win up to £3,000."

"So if I wanted to back a 1-3 shot?"
"You could have £9,000 on."
"Can I have £9,000 on Bolton to finish in the bottom half of L1?"
"Ye...errrr....actually I think I might need to ring and check but it should be fine."

"The trader sayed that because of the current situation at the club the most we can take is £900."
"Didn't they know about the situation when they were pricing it up?"

They took the market down soon after, seemingly never to return.

I'd be careful with relegation bets in L1 for now.

Bury might not get through the season and Bolton start on -12, so it could be there are only two more relegation spots available.

I think I'd be inclined to look at the Evens about Oxford finishing bottom half, and also take them on in various match bets.

Good spot. Missed that bit.

Wonder what those bookie chaps will do with existing relegation bets if Bury vanish. Be hard to work out a Rule 4 I'd have thought. All in run or not?
