Regarding Liverpool, I remember them being chalked up at these 1/3 shots at home to Stoke/Reading when they were playing badly earlier in the season, so for me that was the time to oppose them, not at the same price against an out of sorts WBA when Liverpool are definitely playing well?

No Sturridge for Liverpool tonight, so although they've been playing well his absence means a win for Liverpool has to be less likely than if he wasn't injured.

Interested in the odds for an African Pope

a) Its about time

b) It's not as ridiculous as following Tal into arty-schmarty markets

Soon as anyone sees the markets pop up, lets have some fun

Listening to the various ecclesiastical experts on the wireless today, the idea of a South American Pope being "right" was quite frequently mentioned.

Current odds?

3/1.

7/1 on DNB not looking that bad.

Sill go back to earlier game where West Brom was very good value for their win.

i do not like the "mood" in the west brom camp.

One of there most popular players Olson flicked the v at his own fans after the match last week and reid tried to have a stand up row with mr disappearing act

As i mentioned before the spurs game i also dont like the way they suddenly went to a 4-4-2 after a long spell playing one upfront.

a few early fancies at southwell tommorow

1.40

a classic southwell class 6 event Smiley

the early market leaders at this stage are 3-71 lifetime which says a lot.

i like two in here

RIDGEWAY HAWK  positives are :

best here

plenty of runs that win this

well handicapped (below mark won here last year)

well drawn

negatives :

quirky (they all are really) and doesnt win that often

ran a shocker last time but i think it bounced after a goodish run after a longish break the time before

UPPER LAMBOURN positives are :

plenty of form here that wins this by 3 lengths

positive jockey change

well drawn as well

showed something back here last time ( a glimmer)

negatives :

trainer is something like 0-70 career and does not do winners

doubts about upper lambourn suggest more whatever that is bet365 lay you on r hawk who is more solid i expect both to be around the 8-1 to 12-1 come race time.

Suggest £6 win Ridgeway Hawk 16-1 bet365

Suggest £4 win Upper Lambourn 16-1 bet365

3.15 Southwell

A cracking race a class 3 here is pretty rare and some very solid animals contest it.

Taking a flyer with the quirky but talented GOURAY GIRL 25-1

Positives :

Well handicapped

Only been with ellison for two runs one was a listed race it would never win second was at kempton when it was never put in the race.

Had a nice 80 day break after a busy season hopefully enough time for the trainer to sort out any minor niggles the horse may have.

Sire redback does well here (better than the market suggests) and that is a small positive

Negatives :

Horse is quirky or at least had been not the bravest

This is a solid race with plenty of proven opposition.

Suggest £5 eway ladbrokes 25-1 Gouray Girl first 3 paid

Not even Paddy Power would offer you odds on The Queen of England getting this Gig.

Ooh, thanks Horsey.

Bit short of time right now, but in brief......

We got on Gouray Girl with Ladbrokes, £5 EW @ 16/1.

We did NOT get on the other two, with Bet365, as they only offered me £0.63 on each of them.

I'll keep an eye on the Market this evening & in the morning, & get on with someone else if I can get a decent price.

2nd T20 Hamilton tomorrow, 6am our time

Seddon Park. Very nice to look at, grass banks and foliage rather than concrete and metal

One of the smallest grounds in international cricket, though not the tiny straight boundaries of Auckland

- Fastest ever T20 century is at this ground, Levi 45 balls

- T20 Internationals at the ground. Scores all exceed 170 batting first, except Bangladesh game in their early days when they were rolled for 78

- Domestic T20 this year scores of 174-149-186-173-184.

Sixes quotes will presumably be ratcheted up. A quote of >14 is not to be played as

a) 7 of the 21 Auckland sixes were not sixes on a normally proportioned ground (mishits for under 65 yards, ie caught on most grounds)

b) NZ might bat first, and they are not the six hitters that England are

Better bet might be to go overs on first innings score, depending on where the market forms, and when it forms as placing bets at 5.30am isn't likely

You might like the England over 6.5 sixes available at Laddies at EVENS ;-)

I understand what you are saying here Horsey but the simple fact of the matter is these two sides are 2 points apart in the league,  WBA won the reverse fixture 3-0 and the supposed improvement in Liverpools form (Sturridge) is missing and yet Liverpool are 1-3!!!  They just cannot be that price with Sturridge playing for me nevermind without him.  Imagine if it was Swansea playing at home (they are above in the league table to Liverpool) we wouldn't even bother betting because the prices would be so bad we would assume that it was a palpable error.  Liverpool are priced on reputation as effectively a top 5 team but they still haven't proven that.  I have been as impressed by them as anyone in recent games but they have flattered to deceive before.  They might be becoming title challengers or they might be just a mid table team but at 9/1+ on WBA I am willing to take a chance.  I think they should be 6/1 max.  Lets not forget this "transformed" Liverpool team have conceded 3 goals to Oldham and a goal to Mansfield in addition to conceding against twice against Arsenal and City and once against MU in their last six games.

Liverpool v Swansea.

Currently, 8/1 Swansea, or 13/2 DNB.

8pm Kick Off.
