cant wait for the basque derby tonight

last ever game between bilbao and soceidad at the san mames stadium.

for once soceidad come into the game in better form however amazingly in 8 of there last 9 la liga games there opponents have had a man sent off which probably skews there form a little bit.

i like two bets tonight both teams to score is a generous looking 4-6 with blue square (bigger than betfair) Bilbao are still very unpredictable with the occasion they will be forced to attack tonight soceidad are more than capable of scoring at least one here.

i also like the 4-1 hills are offering on Gonzalo Castro to score anytime tonight. He is a winger (bilbao are weak in full back positions) and has 3 goals in his last 5 league games should be around 5-2 in here i think

Suggest

£20 bts to score 4-6 bluesq

£5 Gonzalo Castro to score anytime with william hill at 4-1

Thanks horsey.

Both bets on (8.30 kick off) will confirm details later, I am momentarily incapacitated at present.

Looks a good game and a fun £25.

Have we kept average stake stats?

Seems like bets have got bit smaller now than when we started

Not as such, but it should be easy to work out. To prove your point (which I'm sure is correct) I'd need to do it month by month, then work from there. I'll do so over the weekend, or ask MereAuditor so to do. Arguably, his answer may be more reliable than mine.

We are betting smaller. Some of those from the early days, who wanted MAX MAX MAX everytime have departed, that is part of the answer.

As a general rule, we NEVER increase the stake recommended, though we do often reduce it. I reduced the Hamilton bet last night, because, I suspected, it was more a fancy than a seriously ool price or maths-based wager.

Some of our regulars - two, both big winners ROI-wise - get very uncomfortable if we up their stakes. The start of the "Tips by Tighty" thread was evidence of that.

The answer is that if, say, horsey wants to bet a fiver on something, (which he considers appropriate for Fred in this case) anyone else can follow-up with a press. I think he suggested a MAX on the Cards based bet earlier in the wek, but I got Restricted.

I don't mind small, personally, as you infer, I'm an out & out nit, & I enjoy the free fun that Fred gives me.

The nature of the thread is changing, too. We do more long-term stuff, at big prices, now. I like that, too. We invested £250 in Super Bowl, for example.

The little bets keep us ticking over nicely, whilst we await bigger bets incoming. We WILL bet bigger if the right bets come in, & are for bigger sums.

It happens to be fairly quiet right now, but we tick over, & keep our powder dry for the likes of Cheltenham & The Masters. Hopefuly, as I hinted for the Accenture, we can build books for such events.

Happy to take on board advice as to our bet sizing.

The boundaries bet in the cricket looks like a right good bet. I notice Hills are now 54.5 with 5/6 each. For those that are following such things you can buy the two combined at 55.5 with Spreadex. Sporting Index are 12 offered the and 46 offered the .

Thanks Neil

Tighty, who stuck it up, suggested "chunky" but never specified a bet size, and my natural nittural tendencies took over.

Maybe we will press, I just need to unsew my pockets first.

Fred's favourite Belgian golfer just won his 2nd round Accenture match, v Justin Rose, a very impressive 4 & 2.

Evening Mr T.

I noticed your subtle hint for a rugby league bet on Leeds tonight. I have been wanting to recommend them all week and I think the price is excellent as Melbourne haven't played a serious game for months and will not like the cold. However I think there may be some better opportunities over the next 2 days and if they lost I may feel the need to avoid tipping them. I have backed Leeds myself and if they do win then I also expect to see a Kevin Sinfield drop goal.

By the way 3G fears no one in matchplay.

You know me too well hector.

Yes, I was hoping you may give us your view on the big Rugby League game, but if you are not really feeling it, then you are right to hold back. Betting for the sake of it is not the way to go. Sounds like you have a few hector specials lined up for the weekend - great news. We are overdue coffee and cake.

I have had a small off-thread interest in Leeds too, as it happens. The price seemed way too big.

Very impressed with 3G so far, I really think I should have backed him, but I went with one or two others instead.
