Its Banzai time and this could be the biggest one yet.
Plenty of risk involved here so can only suggest the minimum stake.
Vcbet have offered up the worst disciplined player market in the premier league this season. They have not taken many chances but a player has been added by request the last few days (ahem) and i believe they have priced him up to big.
The player is Jordi Amat 100-1 suggest £10 (win only market) He is a tough tackling centre back who comes to Swansea like many others from la liga and had a good season last season. More importantly he collected 12 yellow cards in just 23 la liga games.
The stats below are from last season and show roughly what it will take to win this market. (Games played yellow cards and then red cards)
1
Bradley Johnson Norwich M(C) 37 10
2
Craig Gardner Sunderland D(R),M(CR) 32(1) 10 1
3
Luis Suárez Liverpool AM(CLR),FW 33 10
4
Matthew Lowton Aston Villa D(R),M(R) 37 10 -
5
Dean Whitehead Stoke M(CR) 12(14) 9 1
6
James Collins West Ham D(C) 29 - 9
7
James Perch Newcastle United D(CR),DM(C) 9
8
Leon Osman Everton M(CLR) 36 9
9
Morgan Schneiderlin Southampton DM(C) 36 5 - 9 -
10
Ryan Shawcross Stoke D(C) 37 1 1 9 -
The market is settled using whoscored.com, others on request. 1 point for a yellow and 3 for a red; but note 2 yellows = 3 points and NOT 4. And that stats above are from whoscored.com for last season.
Rather interestingly 5 of the top 7 players are either no longer in the league or perhaps will not be in a few weeks time.
So the main downside for Amat is he does not look a first choice starter for Swansea. However he started against Malmo on Thursday and has started most pre season friendly games ahead of Chico. Ashley Williams will play every game but there are always rumours he will be snapped up by a top 4 club and if Amat continues to impress (close to man of the match on Thursday according to a lot of the forums) they may feel they now have cover to take a big fee for Williams.
Laudrup is not afraid to change a winning formula and there are a few soft quotes suggesting he is happy with Amat and he may get his chance. The stats above suggest you do need to play at least 75% of games to have a chance and this is the main question mark over this bet. I should also point out it is easier to get booked in La Liga than over here but he got booked against Malmo on Thursday and is a very aggressive defender who tries to win the ball at every opportunity.
Diego Lugano who has joined WBA overnight will be a big runner in this market if he gets added to it and im not sure he will play enough games as the centre backs have a settled partnership there.
Diego Costa if he finalises his move to Liverpool will be well worth backing if he is placed anywere other than a clear favourite again if added to the market.
At 100-1 this bet will probably be either out with the washing after 3 weeks or has potential to look a 25-1 shot a few weeks in. It is obviously a slight lottery market with so many players very close to eachother and decided by very small margins.
Suggest £10 win Amat at 100-1 with vcbet
Hopefully other firms will price this market up soon if they do i may suggest a couple more.
If Costa joins Liverpool and is anything other than clear fav he will be worth adding to.
Proper value for a tenner, thanks horsey.

Correct. You asked for feedback, which is awaited. Think His Tightness was sort of lukewarm. Wimbledon are, of course, a minority interest, so not many folks have a view, but if we get some encouragement or warmth from the hexperts, we'll get on.

Remember, Chompy. Kalmar. You need to find a suitable picture. No stewie griffin t-shirts will be accepted

Swedish football bet looking in fine shape, with Redarmi's 1.97 tip Kalmar now as short as 4/11 with Padraig Power

I believe you managed it without a Stewie T-shirt. Still have to minus one for not telling us about Kalmar FC but 9/10 is a heck of an effort first up.

If it helps, I am on so will be keeping my own handicap table updated so will be able to give regular reports.
I do think it will be tight, which I think Tighty agreed with, but as it's tight the prices seem too big.

Think you may have (reluctantly) to give him 0.5 back - the photo is of Jon KALMAR. (sp)
But deduct another 2 points, as there were no numbers, which I now have to do.

From the start, I was making a reference to the famous top Skalie wore in the WSOP final table:
It's the weekend. I'll let you off.
