Have you got any bets on the Ashes series yet?

I really like the look of Broad as top England bowler.  I think there is an 80%+ chance that the winner is coming from Swann, Broad or Anderson.  Whoever they pick from Tremlett, Finn or Rankin is not only less likely to take wickets but also has the possibility of being replaced by Bresnan at some point during the series.

Broad was top England bowler last winter in NZ and the winter before that when we played Pakistan in the UAE.  He took 22 in the latest Ashes series in England (Anderson 22, Swann 26) and was the top wicket taker in the home series before this v New Zealand.  He also has 4 more test match wickets than anybody else in the world in 2013

I reckon he's close to a 30% shot in this market, certainly over 25%.  He isn't particularly popular among the general public (compared to Swann or Anderson) and still has to deal with a lot of unfair criticism (stemming from some very average performances 3-4 years ago) despite his excellent record over the last couple of years.  This is my only explanation for the rather generous price.  He is MUCH improved and bowled really well in the warm up game last week.

I think it's a definite bet at 10/3, I would have him around 5/2

Was wondering if you'd give us something for the Ashes, don't think we have much so far, and it's a cracking betting medium and a nice long sweat.

Missed the 0/30, but took £50 @ 3/1 with Corals as I think that is still fine. I'm not a huge Broad fan, but he can certainly get revved up & be competitive, & he'll be in his element here.

Details in the morning.

Thank you, stay around for the Series please.

Paddy Power, 6/1 Amenable, 3.10 Southwell tomorrow. Much better handicapped on the AW and has won at Southwell. Should be favourite.

1) Missed the 6/1, took 5.

2) Clicked EW by mistake. Not my fault, no sir.

3) Genuine tiddlearse due to Restriction.

I have plenty on, had first dibs on the bookies.  I wish I had got a bit more of that 4/1 Susanna on Saturday.

I really don't know what has been going on with that Top Male market.  The market moves have been hilarious.  Patrick flying in to 7/1 and back out to 28/1 in about 3 days isn't something I am too familiar with.  Just hoping the bookies don't think I have anything to do with it!

I think Susannah, extremely popular, improving fast, v v popular pro dancer, great charismatic combination is the likely winner. She also has the huge advantage of being on voters TV screens every weekday.

Have Gumball finishing top 3. Great tip, but this weekend was the first time I could see her being beaten

Poshies line up 3-5-2 and I don't fancy many goals, bit you never know with us. Still capable of winning 5-0 or losing 3-0.

Mark Little will be off on a few gallops down the right side. Spreadex 22/1 to score any time is crazy, 14/1 general elsewhere is just about OK.

Otherwise Mendez any time @ 5/1 also fine, but hard to back him at that price when he was 8/1 last Tuesday with Poshies as 2/5 favourites to win. Game just a watcher for me.

Good judge I follow on twitter said that Lalkovic is the nuts, put him up for man of the match at 25/1 and he is now 8/1 also put him up for anytime at 11/4 and he is still 11/4 corals. Fwiw mendez betfred doing the double delight promo on this game tonight, not ideal if you don't fancy any goals but double the odds if your first scorer gets second and trppled if he gets the third adds a small bit of value.
