Afternoon Fred,

Can I suggest that we back Hibernian in tonights Edinburgh Derby?  Everyone knows the problems Hearts have had and although its a derby I just don't see how Hibs are only 4/6 with Betfair.  I genuinley made this a 2/5 shot today.

Even the most ardent or Hearts fan can't be expecting anything other than a thrashing today.

Since Terry Butcher has taken over at Hibs he has solidified the defence and has them playing much more compact.  They have conceded only 2 goals in 7 games in charge one of which was against Celtic who you would expected to have won.  There have been 3 clean sheets in the last 3 games whilst scoring 5 goals.  Hearts on the otherhand are in tota dissaray as we all know.  In the same period since Terry has taken over at Hearts they have conceded 22 goals and scoring just 4 themselves.  The only positive I can find for Hearts is they have Ryan Stevenson back for tonights clash but at best he's an average SPL player.

In addition to the obvious this Hearts team seems to suffer from an element of indiscipline and I put this down to a combination of having such a young squad, some of the players put themselves about more than they normally would and this is due to wanting to show their level of committment and the experienced players they have are trying to lead by example and in a team devoid of creativity and attacking player this means sticking the boot in.  I wouldn't expect Hearts to finish the game with 11 players on the park.  I really see this as men against boys, organisation v dissaray, tactical nounce against tactical naievity.

For me this is a maximum bet all day, everyday and twice on a Thursday.  I sincerely doubt I have been more confident in every placing a football bet in an SPL market before.

I suggest for thread purposes though we have £120 @ 4/6 with Laddies which is a standout and no commission.

For those that like betting on cards in a match I'm in love with Hearts at 4/7 to win that there has been nothing matched on Betfair as of yet but I would think Hearts should be a 1/2 shot.

Smiley to Hills I go

Hibs were 1.8 on the William Hill coupon up until lunchtime. The arbers were out in force.
That was my next stop, usually Hills keep the price on Sky games, what have they cut them to?

Sorry, it is still 4/5. One shop showed me a screen where it was 4/6 but that was either wrong or they put the price back up.
Smiley to Hills I go, surely it's a no Bet for Fred unless he gets on in a Hills shop??

I've got more on than I should have as well. Pete did 24 shops this morning and I was going to lay it off on Betfair until I saw your post. Then I decided to let it ride.
What did they restrict you to?£50

£110.

There is a message on their screens that they can lay £110 without reference to trader.

Afternoon.

The Hibs Hearts affair, thanks Mr KMac.

The best price I can get is 8/13.

I don't mind having £100 or £120 on a long odds on shot, but is this genuine value? Betfair currently quote 1.65.

That aside, views from other football experts would be appreciated please, I just don't know enough to judge.

I'm busy elsewhere, but will monitor the thread until kick off, & get on if need be.

What a pair of characters you two are.

Did you ever see the TV series "Budgie"? Pretty sure Pete was Charlie Endell.

Tighty's NFL bets are up for SATURDAY night.

Kansas City Chiefs +2.5 v Indianapolis Colts 10/11

Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 v New Orleans Saints 10/11

Can I suggest we do these please ?

Ooh, thanks for the nudge, & yes, we'll climb aboard.

As it is Post-Season, we may consider upping the stakes by a chunk or two.

Hi Tikay I would certainly prefer to have had the 4/6 but I would still make Hibs a bet.  I just can't have Hearts getting anything out of this game, there is nothing to suggest that they are capable of turning things around at present.

The price is still contracting on Betty at the moment if you can get any of the 8/13 with VC I would still take it.

As I alluded to in the OP I think Hibs are genuine 2/5 shots.  I think the only reason for the bigger price is due to it being a derby match.

No, we don't make special trips to pick up winnings. He will pick it up when he does his next WH shop run.

This just gets better & better.

How does he keep records of what shops he has backed winners in?

You two might just be the greatest. HNY to you both.

No strong views on the Hibs - Hearts game, lads?

Need to set off on my 24 shop walk soon if we plan to get on.

Bwin responded and have forwarded my email to the relevant department.

They got back me and its top 2 only.

I've asked them to cancel my bet and to not have such misleading markets.

Thanks to whoever nudged me to contact them, Chompy? Doubleup?

I suggest you do the same Tikay.

Don't think tikay got on, his golden misclick finger just went for the top 3 bet.

The Hearts captain and best defender is out I wasn't aware of this until I saw the team news.  This just makes this a better bet than it was previously.

OK, we have had a small chunk on.

Thanks, and good luck.
