Tikay,

You mentioned opening a Pinnacle account earlier.

Pinnacle have changed their t & c's in the last few months and have now made it difficult or expensive to withdraw. I'm not sure of the details but you have to turn over your deposit many times before you can withdraw free of charge.

Someone else may know more details ?

I would like to see an analysis of what you need to play Hoylake well, who fits on their 2014 stats, any course form etc etc in addition to bets, mainly, on offer attractiveness/price relative to betfair

to give a range of "types of bets" for next week, in addition to sub-market stuff that might come on top player from a region, who will win a three ball, top senior etc etc that are always good to find

Here is a breakdown of who has played "well" in the last 9 opens.  The criteria for "played well" is that

more than 50% of their rounds have been

at least 2 strokes better than average in the first two rounds or
at least 1 stroke better than average in the last two rounds

Player   Rounds   "Good Rounds"   %
Dustin Johnson   18   12   0.67
Ernie Els           32   21   0.66
Tiger Woods    26   17   0.65
Rickie Fowler    14   9   0.64
Gary Woodland   8   5   0.63
Adam Scott           34   20   0.59
Steve Stricker   24   14   0.58
Jim Furyk           30   17   0.57
Nick Watney   20   11   0.55
Darren Clarke   26   14   0.54
Phil Mickelson   28   15   0.54
Lee Westwood   32   17   0.53
Sergio Garcia   34   18   0.53
Brandt Snedeker    14   7   0.50
Chris Wood           14   7   0.50
Freddie Jacobson   24   12   0.50
George Coetzee   10   5   0.50
Hunter Mahan   26   13   0.50
Ian Poulter           30   15   0.50
Justin Rose           22   11   0.50
Louis Oosthuizen   16   8   0.50
Luke Donald           28   14   0.50
Martin Kaymer   22   11   0.50
Miguel Jimenez   34   17   0.50
Ryan Moore           14   7   0.50
Shane Lowry   8   4   0.50

Obviously just one aspect but at least something to discuss....

I heard that as well also think that it might be as well to wait and see if Pinnacle get a UKGC license later this year.

Is that the same licence Canbet held? And at last count they had at least 2 million of punters funds

Is well worth a read if you have a few hours spare, Gc utterly spineless in this case and could easily accused of a lot lot worse

First they have brought in separation of client funds

Second it doesn't matter whether they are shit - it will be illegal for Pinnacle (and the eg Malta licensed books) to take bets from the UK without a UKGC license at the end of the year.

With Anderson having suffered at headingley, and now in mid-heroics here

and he is on 358 career test wickets and this series might go past Botham for the all time England record

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;team=1;template=results;type=bowling

any mileage in 100-1 e/w SPOTY 1/5 1,2,3 ladbrokes/betfair sportsbook?

not an award where it is easy to find a rock solid top 3....

In 2128 Tests, this is the first time both teams have had 100-run 10th wicket stands.

3rd f-c match with 100 partnership for 10th wkt by both teams. Others: Barbados v MCC 1913 and Derbyshire v Glamorgan 2011

BET SUGGESTION £20 WIN GREAT HALL 14/1 GENERAL http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/york/14:20/winner

Cant let this run without a small bet. Simple theory really from Brian Meehan (very overrated trainer who gets expensive horses and rarely delivers with them) to John Quinn (probably the best dual purpose trainer around he is possibly no longer underrated but anyway)

Conditions are fine 14 furlongs, quick ground i like the fact Quinn has removed all the headgear and the horse has some fair form with Meehan anyway. Might be a prep for something else and may eventually turn out to be a purchase for hurdling but he will improve for Quinn..

14:20 GREAT HALL (Horse Racing Outright - Race) Odds: 16/1 Stake: 20.00 Possible Return:  340.00

Betfair have a market on Tiger to miss the cut.

Based on the history of the last few months, ie v little play, and the tourny he has played was poor, I expected to see it pretty much as a flip.

11/4 seems mighty big to me to miss the cut, especially if its blowy.

Thoughts?

I wonder what that price would have been back in the day when Tiger was in his pomp? Very long odds on, for sure.

What an amazing story, the rise and fall - and maybe rise again? - of Mr Woods.

Very interested in one of the early races at Ascot.

Old friend Barnet Fair runs in the 1.55.

He has been round the houses recently, and now resides with former "Sprint King" Dandy Nichols.

There is a race at Ascot later in the month that BF has won twice in the past, and Dandy has suggested he is keen to get BF ready for that. However after a promising run in the Gosforth Cup where he ran into a pocket, he looks like his time is near. He has ideal conditions at Ascot, fast ground, and what looks a decent draw, based on what I saw at RA, anyway!

He races of 90 which was his last winning mark, but has a super little apprentice Cam Hardie, taking off 5lbs. All in all, seems strange to be here with such an obvious chance and using a crack apprentice if he is just here for a day out. It wouldn't be the first time Dandy has been frugal with the truth.

It was 12s last night, but I resisted a recommend until I woke to see the sun shining.

Lets have a sneaky £10 ew in anticipation of a good run @10s

This race is next up on Ch 4.

Barnet Fair now 7/1. That's dinner sorted.
