BF sportsbook are 23/10, so a little better off on the win there and slightly less on the place. Wouldn't be having the max on at those prices tho but still a decent bet.

cheers

Well done on two nice Golf winners, thanks Phil & Argue.

A nice surprise to awake to on a Monday morning.

Daily Report

Loss on Month £97.29

Outstanding Bets £3188.66

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=28

A profit of £273 yesterday

- Mcilroy won the WGC at Firestone by two shots for a profit of £244

- Kaymer beat Dufner in his two ball for a profit of £78, Kaymer 71 v Dufner 77

Keegan Bradley finished 4th, 6 shots off the win but a good run for the free bet

losers yesterday

- £20 as Widnes beat Hull KR 28-10

- £5 top scorer bet on Wheater top Hampshire batsman in the T20

- £20 Kennaugh to win the Commonwealth games road race. Very odd tactics saw his breakaway solo, be two minutes clear for two thirds of the race but have nothing left when he was caught by amongst others eventual winner Geraint Tomas

ongoing positions

The Orioles beat the Mariners 1-0 last night. They scored off a lead-off home run from Nck Markarkis with the first bat of the game and that was that. First time this has happened in Orioles history

won/lost/% win/games behind

Baltimore   62   48   .564   -

Unless I am mis-reading that, we have quite a cushion there?

And we are roughly half way through the season?

Pleased with that.

Oioi!

I never realised we won quite so much on those 2 bets, good work lads.

What a swingy start to August - we lost £276 on Saturday, & won £273 on Sunday.

I'm more used to £5 swings, nitty nit nit style. £270 odd quid in a day, sheesh.

After those 2 lovely Golf wins, some other good news, too.

Bobby1 made a sort of £220 donation to Fred, with the idea that we could run a little Competition. It will be based on the PGA Championship, which started on Thursday.

I'm struggling a bit to work out how best to run it, but I'll start a separate thread today or tomorrow.

I'll be a bit AWOL during the PGA, as UKPC starts the same day, Thursday, & I'll be working my socks off for 11 days straight on the onerous Front of House responsibilities up at DTD, & generally assisting Tighty. Anyway, I'll sort it somehow.

Pleased with that.

162 game season

110 games in

realistically three teams can win the division

obviously we are watching Toronto too, a big swing every night they win/Baltimore lose

Baseball prospectus currently models a 74% chance of the Orioles making the post-season, which includes two wild cards. Toronto rated 50-50

our positions are as follows

AL East Winner   baltimore orioles   9/1   25   free bet
AL East Winner   baltimore orioles   12/1   25

Thanks Photo & Bike Bloke.

What did you think of Kennaugh's rather unorthodox tactics yesterday?

We follow Wetty blind, but I bet he never expected that.

No, because 5 teams make the paly offs frome ach conference

3 divisional winners
2 wild cards (best records from non divisional winners)

but it gives an idea that they would have to slump quite a lot to not be in those 5

the best thing for the division is to watch baltimore and toronto's results and hope baltimore match them

Was that directed at Tonji?

Mistaken identity?

Spent rather to long on the first at Carlisle.... http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/carlisle/17:45/winner

This race is part of the Fegentri series for lady riders and marks the start of the ladies only card tonight at Carlisle.

The series is made up of 12 races in 2014 and carries a very nice first prize (sponsorship and expensive jewellery).

Here are the current standings so far for the ladies.

Rank
Rider
Nation
Points
1   Silja Støren   Norway   98
2   Michelle Blumenauer   Germany   91
3   Alice Mills   Great Britain   79

4   Nicole Schlatter   Switzerland   74
5   Barbara Guenet   France   70
6   Cristina Buesa   Spain   41
7+   Radka Hradkova   Czech Republic   38
7+   Anna Lupinacci   Italy   38
9   Elizabeth Lalor   Ireland   37
10   Hana Jurankova   Austria   32
11+   Alexandre Bihari   Hungary   31
11+   Josephine Kelly   Sweden   31
13   Annie Yeager   USA   26
14   Gaelle Gernay   Belgium   22
15   Azhar Al Wardi   Sultanate of Oman   14

*Bold indicates have a ride tonight.

The battle for the top spot is between the top five with only four races left this year, Barbara does not have a ride this evening so my first angle is the first four are going to be busted a gut to ride out even if its for third. (The points structure means top 3 placings are rewarded very heavily.)

Anyway onto the actual race, as with most of this series the races are very low grade with horses who generally dont win.

Betting Order.

Diddy Eric, Ridden by Alice Mills who has had 7 jumps and 6 flat winners over here. She is excellent with a great attitude and as the standings shows is one of the better riders in this field. The horse is a long standing maiden and hard to back at 5/2.

Hail Bold Chief, Ridden by Megan Nicholls who is not actually part of this series but as family name indicates can ride (rode a winner for tonights trainer last week) horse has fair back form but comes here of a long break and the trainers stats of a break are not good at 5/1 can win without me.

SPOKESPERSON Ridden by Silja Storen doing a bit more research she has ridden in over 300 races in Norway with 20 wins and 60 places. She leads the standings so far and touch wood has barely been out of the frame so far. Spokesperson has had a very light career for a six year old, started with Godolphin before presumably going wrong and coming back two years later showed nothing has re appeared this year for this trainer and ran three solid races from around this mark for this trainer. A similar run tonight will get at least a place here.

REMIX ridden by Michelle Blumenauer she has had 150 rides in Germany and 19 wins and sits a close second in the standings. Remix is trained by Ian Williams who does well in these types of races. The horse likes quicker ground and was well backed second last time out, tbf it has been running very poorly but when they back them from this trainer its usually spot on. Has some solid form at the track and is worthy of a smaller each way bet.

The rest have chances but with the fav being a bit of a non winner and a couple of complete rags it has a fair/good each way shape.

Suggest £20 each way SPOKESPERSON 5/1 koral and £10 each way REMIX 9/1 bmu
