Not having a pop at the selections as i haven't got a clue but this isn't a good ew race on standard bookies terms for us as punters and if we are going to bet win and place much better to take the best win price around win only then take the place on bf at better odds than the bookies offer us under the ew terms.   We are literally setting fire to cash betting ew in races with this type of make up.

It is not traditionally i agree

As i explained in the write up the points are very top 3 heavy and both selections will be ridden aggressively out for a place were as if this race was just a standard class 6 handicap they probably would not be.

I feel the fav is very opposable and as explained think the 3 rags could/should be even bigger

What if the odds drift? Doesn't having guarenteed odds count for something?

Are we expecting 8 places with some bookies?

If not, why not?

Thanks Adzy.

Tighty gets all het up & cross when he tries to use Corals, so I've done it myself.

It only took 27 clicks, & they restricted us to £10, but it's all grist to the milly thing.

This is great analysis if true and gives us an additional edge however the place market on bf does not represent this and it is priced like a standard class 6 hcap so we are still setting fire to cash by backing them ew with the firms rather than on the bf market.  That's my only point.  You are far better skilled than me to understand how a horse race of this will be run.  My point is only that we would be better placing the same bets in a different manner to make more money with the same risk.

Sometimes we have to factor in that Tikay/Tighty are not pros who can sit around all day watching betfair e.t.c waiting for the place price to be correct/optimal before backing something.

That is why i always list the oddschecker link as the prices can go/change from when posting (like this morning)

No, that is pretty much for The Open only.  You often get 1 or 2 going 6 places for standard tournaments, and sometimes you might get 7 if it is a major.   I am hopefull someone will go 7 places, but I'd bet on a max of 6 places if offered an even money bet right now.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Thanks Lisa.

I tried on mobile several months ago, same thing. I've not tried on their App, never even knew they had one.

I will see if I can up/download it. I already have 3 Apps on my I-Pad, (incl FlightRadar24) I'll run out of room soon. I can actually feel it is getting heavier when I add an App, too.
