Not convinced it's a poor appointment. Really interested on what he is going to do. Would be very surprised if he doesn't see past what I see as a very poor Brede Hangeland. Went to Walsall yesterday and he was having clear trouble at times.

Not the most ambitious appointment ever is it?

Warnock historically has been a short term motivator to me but at 65 is highly likely to be gone by the end of this season.

Hopefully for Palace he's not past it.

If Leicester lost all games till the and United won all their games you would still probably have a neutral ev bet. Basically laying United at 4/6 and 20/29 when if it was priced up this weekend they would probably be 5/6

As good as exstream is, I don't think we can back Berdych given the flawed recommend regarding Majors performance and disregarding his returning, when that IS one of his strong points.

Will likely hose up.

It is an interesting one for sure. Make what could be valid points, but I am gonna wait and see. Prefer this appointment over some of the others touted.

Adding to the Leicester backing. I watched the full 90 of the Chelsea Leicester game and I thought they were fantastic. Popping the ball around well, quite poor in the finish, but created a lot of half chances (and the Nugent clanger), especially in the first half. Very lively team that could cause an "upset".

got a very tough start especially with the first choice midfield injured, but going to be ok i think

going to be very dangerous on the break away from home

have had enormous difficulties strengthening the squad, as we are short of quality in depth. in part this is because of a wage cap in place at £30,000 a week, and in part because they are sticking to their guns on value in the face of a sellers market

where they were prepared to loosen up to get cambiasso in, they ran into multiple agents, limited company ownership etc and its been very tricky to close that deal

I see Tony Martin has picked today to stretch his legs in the Vuelta. Could have let me known that yesterday, Tony. Sigh.

Lots of Money for Hooper to Palace from Norwich - 6/1 into Evens in last hour or so.

Hearing Puncheon and cash for Hooper and Redmond under discussion also.
Would be very disappointed if Hooper went, but it would explain the Cameron Jerome transfer a little.

Are you a Norwich fan Nakor?  Do you think they are worthy favourites for the Champ after 4 games?

Just live here - have some access to season tickets and corporate so take an active interest.

In short No - but its far from cut and dried.  Lots of known unknowns, Adams ability, youngsters unproven, potential sales, but they have a good spine, and above average back 5 and 3 high achieving strikers at this level.

They will go close but don't think they have the strength and depth of Forest, Cardiff or Derby, and I fear when the pressure kicks in they will lose silly games.
If Hooper stays, he, Jerome and Grabban should get enough goals to keep them in the play off picture.  Without Hooper or a replacement I would be fearful.  Supply also an issue, Redmond looks disinterested and a lot will ride on Josh Murphy (who has lots of potential) and Johnson.
If they can maintain a settled back 4 they may become a team of grinders, difficult to beat and hope the fire power is enough, bit like QPR last year, but they seem to have a belief that its illegal to play the same group of defenders for more then 2 or 3 games.

If they manage a player in for every player out before the window shuts maybe worth a tickle but I will not be throwing chunks at it.

I know discussion on this gets emotive in some quarters

but thought this was interesting

http://www1.politicalbetting.com/index.php/archives/2014/08/27/take-the-ladbrokes-indyref-no-victory-with-turnout-under-80-bet/

"The best value punt, surely, for those who think independence will be defeated"

Basically slightly better than 8/13 for under 80% turnout doubled with No at 1/6?

I still think Yes over 42.5% at 10/11 with the same firm is the way to go I really can't see that line going shorter and will move towards mid 40s. The information I have is that Monday nights debate had a very marginal boost for Yes but any noticeable effect won't be seen in the polls until Monday.

I also believe the Yes vote will absolutely turnout I'm not so sure about the soft No vote doing the same. Weather could also be a factor, the over 60 vote is very much a No vote (somewhere in the mid 60%s) a cold wet day could keep that indoors. Obviously there are counter arguments to that but that's how I see it playing out.
