I can't get onto odds checker but I would be interested to know the odds on the usa to beat the uk after today's results.

We can chalk the doubles to usa and then it's the return singles
Isner is going to be massively under rated after today's game and I think
Murray will have a tough match with Isner looking for revenge
Ward will have trouble rising to occasion again on Sunday his legs will be dead

Anyone got the odds and views? Hector?

@tikay.I will probably share a few thoughts over the next few weeks, besides I would bore people to death which is understandable as it isn't the most popular way to gamble, more maths related and hardly any tips as such (4/1 Liverpool) to win the cup for example.

It wouldn't bore me Larry or is it David ? I'm a geek and there are plenty of us on here. Bytheway, a belated welcome, you will be a valuable addition to the thread.

Usa will win doubles tomorrow with undisputed best doubles pair and Andy/John will be first game up

I haven't got the original handicap, but suspect Liverpool and Palace are probably just about above average right now.  There isn't much between them on handicap.  I expect Southampton, Stoke and West Ham are probably on top right now.  Maybe Swansea and Man U overachieving too?? I am guessing 1st isn't really possible but top 4 is still a possibility for both.

I might email Hills and try and get the original handicap.

Hills hcap for EPL as per the RP pre season football guide (i still got a copy)

chelski scr
MC +2
MU +8
ars +8
liverpool +14
spurs +20
everton +26
Newc +34
Stoke+36
soton +34
Swans +40
sund +40
villa +38
WH +40
hull +42
WBA +42
Leics +42
CP +46
QPR +44
Burnely +50

Cheers.  Will do a spreadsheet tonight, but guessing top 4 are Southampton, Stoke, Swansea and Wham.  We need a couple of them to fade, but think our 2 must be average or better.

Forgot this yesterday, but current projected points (incl handicap) are as follows

Southampton 101
Swansea 94
Stoke 93
West Ham 93
Chelsea 89
Crystal Palace 87
Liverpool 83
WBA 83
Newcastle 82
Arsenal 81

So we definitely need West Ham to carry on fading and Palace to pick up.  Swansea and Stoke don't look nearly as vulnerable.

Thanks Sonour, I don't class myself as a geek, not one bit, nor a maths expert.  What I do use is fairly simple maths and integrate it with solid strategies and it does the job.  Took me several years to be comfortable with this kind of gambling as it isn't for everyone and if you don't have patience and discipline you are in trouble.

@arbboy, no not really, that is just another way of picking up a few quid for free, no point turning down free money if it falls in your lap.  I do scan the markets every now and then when I have spare time to do so like tonight, never a bad thing to watch the NBA,NHL.MLB markets close to game time when the sea of blue starts to sweep across oddschecker.  So to answer your question, I stay up most nights trading the american sports, tennis, cricket.   Selective betting on horse racing, biggest win came from a Lucky 31 which is funny as I read a few pages back that they were for fools Smiley, 5 figure return, almost 6.  I don't touch any odds on shots unless it is free money(arb) or price error with option to hedge.  I have played football and watched football all my life yet rarely have a bet, such a hard market to beat and only small trading curves compared to other sports.  Only play big price selections in football in-play.  Not many sports I don't have an interest in.  I am at the bottom of the ladder in a way due to a costly error in a property abroad, long story, and still gives me nightmares but life goes on.  I am lucky as I know I can build a bank up from nothing but it will be a slow process due to how many markets I play in and a low risk strategy.  I started playing poker many years ago but stopped playing due to poor numbers at the local casinos, lost touch with the game but just started playing again which is the reason I joined up on here as I was told you can learn lots from all these hand analysis and poker hands posted.  Didn't think the sports betting side of the site would be any use but I always believe you will pick up info you don't know yourself.

Murray will win in straight sets, Isner will have to serve out of his skin against the 2nd best returner on the tour and it still won't be good enough, no way Murray loses in Scotland.

Happy Punting.

Barnsley v Walsall

Barnsley are 15/8 at home to Walsall and a sneaky chance at making the play-offs, having won the last 4 league games. Walsall not in or out of form, having picked up for points from the last 4 games.

Barnsley are 15/8 in one pace with Bet365, suggest £40

Blackpool v Sheff Wed

Blackpool are down now and we have started scoring goals. Blackpool are the whipping boys and I would be disappointed if we didn't win or at least score. Atdhe Nuhlu is 7/1 FGS with everyones favourite bookmaker, Stan James. Nuhlu is our top goalscorer comfortably, along with being our penalty taker & funnily enough Blackpool have given away the most penalties in the Championship.

I think 7/1 is a very good price and would consider 13/2, recc £10-£15 if we can get on

OK, thought he meant another thread.

South Sydney Rabbitohs 4/1 to win the NRL regular season.  Although the bigger picture is the grand final they are clearly the best team in the competition and will take all the beating.  They are the same price for the grand final but you only get once chance in the play-offs.  This price will probably be gone after the weekend although they have already chalked up the first win yesterday.  They play the team priced up as 2nd fav next week at home.  Liquidity not very good on the exchange and not really sure if it will pick up.  So if you are looking for the free ride you may not get one. 11/4 average price and if they win at home next week they will be clipped again.

bwin still go 4/1

and we always back the first tip of a new poster, sort of a tradition.

Hopefully you can keep us in touch with the bet and you'll be croweing at the end of the season

we can't use bet365 or stan j. not being able to use stan j stretches back about 3 years

the initial post of the thread has a list of where we can go and where we can't

the best i can do is

9/5 Barnsley

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-1/barnsley-v-walsall/winner

6/1 Nuhiu

you need to let me know if you would do either/both before midday

South Africa were surprisingly beaten by Pakistan this morning in Auckland

Amla scored 38

currently second in tournament top run scorer, our bet pays 4 places e/w

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/icc-cricket-world-cup-2015/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=6537;type=tournament

in practice South Africa will need to reach at least the semis for this bet to have a chance, and specifically Amla will need another big score but we are in the hunt

India, who have really surprised this tournament in the improvement in their bowling are set to win Group B

Potential semi finals are India v Australia, South Africa v New Zealand

the winner should come from these four
