If we dare to have a bet on a horse, I think Foxbridge should be a candidate in the Midlands National at 16-1. Seems to fit most of the trends quite well, the key one being to carry 10-9 or less. Goes on the ground. Trainer has a decent record in the race, so  although this is a much tougher jumping test you would hope he knows what is required. Cadeau George 25/1 another possible, closely matched with Foxbridge and 6 yr olds have had a decent record  in recent years.
The fav, though an obvious candidate, looks too short to me at 5/2 (McCoy factor and favs have had a poor record in this race) which I think adds a little value.
£5 e/w  on both?

Welcome feedback or other fancies.

Time we ran a bit better on the horses, so we are on.

Both with Ladbrokes, qtr odds first 4, £5 ew on both horses.

Foxbridge @ 16/1

Cadeau George @ 25/1

Do the betfair Mr T but not much in it.

We are on, with Betfair Exchange.

£20 @ 2.94, Wales, Winning Margin, under 12.5 pts.

The nice people at Betty have already offered me a Cashout of £19.45, so I could take that & lose £0.55 in 30 seconds. Impressive.

Good luck all of us.

He eats, sleeps and ..... Motor sport, I can sense a big profit from Peter's tips this season.  No pressure Peter.

Peter makes a profit on F1 every season, he's very good indeed.

He's not alone in knowing F1 inside out though, Tighty & several otrhers also do the business for us.

We ought to do well in F1 this year if we can blend their selections.

{cough}

Hamilton pole in Melborne by 0.6 seconds.  Now 4/11 best for the Grand Prix.

Edit.  Think how much quicker he would have been if he was happy.

Sorry if I lumped you with "others", Mr Bottas ledge, but it was early on a Saturday, & I was rushing. Bizarrely, I was up at 5am to watch Qualifying.

Lweis 4/11, Nico 3/1. Lewis is unbeatable, but 3/1 tempts.

We have Rosberg for the Championship, so we have a bit of a hedge aleady.  Don't have the stats to hand but suspect 3/1 from 2nd on the grid isn't much value.

if you're tempted bet at 5/2 ew with Hills who are 1/3 1.2 which beats Patricks offer of 3/1 with place odds 1/4.
25/1 bar Lewis and Nico makes it a great bet.

They certainly aren't hiding anything as the horse has won it's last 3. Berti Boru would be my pick. Good luck

Not madly tempted, but it crossed my mind. I was putting out a feeler, really, as I'm not so hot on these things.

As of yesterday, it was 10/11 Mardy & 6/4 Nico, & it seemed worth looking at Nico for value.

But I watched practice this morning, & Lewis was different gravy, blew Nico away, & looked like he'd had half the pit girls in his room all night.

Strange how Nico may have been value @ 6/4 12 hours ago, & is now a no-hoper at 3/1, 12 hours is a long time in these things.

Such good news to see Mr Beevers back posting. I mentioned before that when I used to watch poker on TV he was one of my 2 favourite players - the other was Howard Lederer! What I liked about those 2 was that they seemed very thinky. My illusions were shattered a few months ago when I came across Mr Beevers reading a celebrity big brother thread on Blonde. I have now reclassified him from thinky to chavvy.

You still a fan of Howard? I lol'ed pretty hard at this Smiley
LOL here too

I've gone from 'thinky' to 'chavvy'. I wonder what happened to Howard. 'Thinky' to....?

Talking of reading CBB threads anyone remember a program on TV called Where There's Muck There's Brass

Man City & Arsenal to win double @11/8 is an enhanced offer From Baldy that's worth taking advantage of.

Betfair to win price is evens, max bet is £100 minus whatever restrictions Fred has.

Interesting observation on Simons pick Larry, especially when your Pipe horse has a very similar profile of won 3 of last 4. I suspect that has even less hidden from the 'capper! Do you think the tongue tie will eek out some more improvement?

Apols to all who followed me in yesterday, I had run well all week and sadly the stuff I put up yesterday was poo. I really fancied Blood Cotil had "not been showing us his full potential"all year, and the betting suggested I was spot on. Sadly the horse decided he didn't want to upset Mr McCoys party, that never was.

Needless to say digging out my 50-1 slip on Coneygree to win the RSA this morning, only helped to prolong the pain.

Onwards, and GL to all today

Apologies are banned here Adzy, so stfu. Wink

It was just one of those weeks, there's not so many Mullins fans on Fred, & not so many jolly backers, so it all panned out badly for most of us.

We play long term, & within our 'roll, a losing Cheltenham is not a disaster, we just have to take it in our stride like grown-ups. Think we lost about £140 overall, no big deal.

Our ROI hovers around 4% most of the time. All things considered, that's not so bad.

Just as well for that Vautour coup, or it would have been plenty worse.

Tighty, I suggest for Fred a £1 sell at 153 and a £1 buy at 77 (McLaren and Force India). You can book it on my account.

Very kind of you Joe, thank you.

I'll leave Tighty to confirm.

Will that spread still be there, after the qualifying disaster McLaren had?

I'm not sure of the current protocol with spreads, I've not done them for 10 years, I used to have to settle up every Monday morning in arrears. Do you want me to send some cash across to cover this? Not a problem if so.

I'm not entirely sure why everyone is calling this qualifying a disaster for McLaren. They are at the back of the grid, but they expected nothing more. Their powertrain is at the same level everybody else's was at the start of last season - essentially they are year behind everyone. A disaster would be if they exceeded the 107% rule and did not qualify.

The team knew they were going to be in this situation even before pre-season testing - they'll improve, albeit slowly.

He eats, sleeps and ..... Motor sport, I can sense a big profit from Peter's tips this season.  No pressure Peter.

You want to know something concerning? Mercedes were not running that qualifying session at full engine power .. shall we just award the trophies now?

Fair play to Lewis, he was unbeatable today and that was a phenomenal lap. Nico made a mistake the the first sector that cost him maybe a quarter of a second, but he still wouldn't have got close to Lewis. Impressive stuff!

If Lewis keeps this up all season, the title is his. But, I've watched enough seasons of F1 to know that he won't. Over the course of the season the championship will ebb and flow, and it will more than likely go down to the last race yet again. I'm still tipping Nico for the title :-)

On another note, why are there no Formula E race markets up?! :/
