I am on Ireland pre tournament and I think Wales might be the bet. I don't see Ireland or England winning by more than 12 but Wales could do something. I like their backs and the decision making/linkage of the back row. I don't think they are a 9-1 shot but not sure what to make them.

A decent weekend for our Manager of the Year bets.

Koeman is best priced 15/8. We have £20 at 4/1.

Dyche is 12/1. We have £5 at 20/1. He was out at 33/1 before the win yesterday. Burnley are a 6/4 shot to stay up now.

Mourino is the 11/10 fav and still feels very opposable to me.

i agree

southampton top six or higher than 6th with a finish , burnley 17th or higher has to give us two real shots against Jose

Tighty.

What are the chances of Wales beating Italy by 40+ and nicking the championship? I think they will really fancy it and they do have the best attack. 9-1 is available. Maybe no Parisse either, not that he was any good today.

Weren't Italy dreadful? worst six n game for many years, amidst stiff competition

i am pondering the championship

Eng 8/11 +37

Ire 7/4 +33

Wales 9/1 +12

i don't think england are odds on, or not by much

i am on wales pre-tournament and think Ireland could be the bet now, in part becuase of the stupendous effort wales put in yesterday. going to be some heavy legs in rome

england missed six cast iron try scoring opportunities yesterday and i think it might cost them

Never come on this thread but just popped on to say the same. Ireland 9/5 now, can't help but think that is very good value, reckon England are slight favs to win the championship, but slight would be as confident as I can be. Wales are too far behind to have a shot now....

Did Fred get on Peter's F1 season bet of Marcus Ericsson to finish top 8 in at least 1 GP throughout the season? Well he finished 8th in the Aus GP today so that was a nice quick win for a season bet! I placed this on unibet and today asked them when it would be settled to which they replied it wouldn't be until the end of season in November. Is it usual for bets like this that have already won to still be settled at the end of the season? I guess they want to earn that extra interest in those 8 months..

Btw, thx Peter:D

Valspar golf topten market  You can back luke donald on the tote for 3-1 and lay him on betfair at 2.45-1.

i did this as quick as i could

    Win
    Single:
    Donald L
1 line at £50.00 per line
Total stake for this bet: £50.00
    Potential Return: £200.00
    No: O/0849138/0000017

    Total stake:£50.00
    Free bets/vouchers:£50.00
    Total cost:£0.00

Placed (matched)
Lay (Bet Against)    Backer's odds    Backer's stake    Your liability
Valspar Championship 2015
Luke Donald Top 10 Finish    3.45    £50.00
£122.50
Ref: 47374349093M Matched: 15:36 11-Mar-15

for a guaranteed return

think the arb has now gone but its a gtd return

it may be that laying in full might not have been right, but i had to crack on rather than d ebate

This was bizarre - £12k matched on Donald in the top ten market, £1.2k furyk next highest and £615 on trny fav Adam Scott.

But Baldfred and StanJ seemed quite happy to take bets at 3-1.

Donald finished well down the field so presumably dancing in the streets of wherever Balfred dances.

@Tighty, if a tip is posted on X for example at 10/1, X is then 1.1 on betfair, are you then laying the 10/1 selection or just letting the selection run out?

case by case basis

we have on occasion laid back some or all

we have on occasion laid back to guarantee the original stake

we have on occasion reversed a position

over the course of several debates, where many of us learned a lot, the overwhelming view of the pros has been to let it ride and not give up EV, to treat it as a long term process and if you find the right ideas in the first place, don't hedge the returns away

OK, with no in-play tips I assumed it was just let it run out so you can gage the success rate, plus it probably avoids a debate on stick or twist.
