Okay, I've posted bets at several stages this weekend which means you've all probably got different sets of bets on.

These bets are based on what TFT have currently placed. That's important because obviously you don't want to have conflicting bets ..

Points Finish - Max Verstappen @ 6/5 with Victor and Bdraw. I expect several drivers inside the top ten to drop backwards tomorrow, Verstappen should be able to take advantage in the very nicely geared Toro Rosso. Suggest £10.

Group A (HAM/ROS/RAI/VET) - Sebastian Vettel @ 20/1 (YES, 20!!) with Hills. We already have £5 on Sebastian for the win, and while it is more like that Mercedes will triumph, 20/1 is just insanity .. this is one of the most ludicrous prices I have ever seen! Suggest £10.

Group A (BOT/MAS/RAI/VET) - Valtteri Bottas @ 13/2 with Victor. Ferrari are a tricky team to place for this race, they could have superior strategy to the rest of the field, however they may just get trounced by the Mercedes engine down the long straight. This bet will come off should the latter happen. Suggest £5

Group B (BOT/MAS/RIC/KVY) - Valtteri Bottas @ 6/5 with 365. Bit wary of betting on Bottas in two markets in case he suffers a mechanical failure, but this price is too good to turn down. Williams should considerably beat Red Bull tomorrow. Suggest £15.

Group D (GRO/NAS/ERI/MAL) - Marcus Ericsson @ 7/2 with 365. Good chance of this coming off, suggest £15.

Thanks Peter, really hoping for a Hamilton foul-up tomorrow with that 20-1 bad boy!

Maybe for the F1 thread, but can you explain about the "nicely geared" - am I right I thinking that gear ratios are set at the start of the season and can't change? So good for Monaco may not be great for Monza?

Ain't necessarily so, Peter. If it's value, it's value.

To give the twee example, if someone offers you 6/4 on a coin toss for heads, you take it. If he then offers you 6/4 on tails, you take that, too.

Keep betting when the price is bigger than it should be.

As to TfT, not everyone watching will be on all the same bets (or to the same size) as Fred, so don't just put up what you think works with Fred's bets; tell us where the value is and let us spend our money wisely.

Me too  Grin

What price were you expecting on vet, Peter?

If it was me setting the prices, I wouldn't want to go over 6/1. Mercedes are undoubtedly quicker, but Ferrari should have a superior strategy due to being able to make their tyres last longer - this could well see them win the race - just like in Malaysia.

Spot on. Been comparing their onboard footage with the data through the speed trap and based on their track position when they shift up a gear, I am expecting both Toro Rosso's to move up through the field tomorrow Smiley

Peter have you taken all the available 20s. Now 12/1

WOW, that dropped quick! Are they spying on my suggestions or something?!

That's a very interesting post. Okay, in future I shall put up all the good spots Smiley

Noted. Will do Smiley

Thank you very much, I really appreciate that comment Smiley

You may change your mind tomorrow if all my bets lose though!!  Wink Got to say, tomorrow will be interesting, it has been a crazy weekend so far as the data was extremely inconsistent through Friday practice. The bet suggestions will either end up being massively profitable or terrible! I guess that's the nature of betting in general though Smiley

I think he posted a link to his blog once where it was an impressively-positive ROI.

I only put £10 on the 20-1 shot but happy to give Fred half of that if it went before TT could get on?

Peter you may want to go down the CWS route and PM your bets that they do then post afterwards?

I kind of like the moniker of "Formula 1 king"  Cheesy

I've made it my mission to get TFT in profit for motorsport. When I started placing bets here, motorsport was second from bottom in the most profitable sport list. It has now risen above Golf, Basketball, Snooker and Boxing Smiley

Peter, were you placing bets last season away from this forum? If so how did you do last season?

I was posting on the Sky Poker community Smiley I had set myself a limit of £10 per race then and also made around £100 in pre-season bets. Ended up on a profit of £234.43 Smiley
