As @ Tuesday morning.

Our only action yesterday was a £30 "fun bet" on the Arsenal match, which failed to oblige. It was actually £30 well spent, & I'm sure I was not the only one on this thread who gleaned some useful info from the boys on the value of these sort of "nonsense" bets. As a bit of fun, fine, but we should never forget that bookies built their empires on sub-markets.

March Account.

Investments;

Dubai, PL Darts, Anderson 180's, £50 (unsettled)

Chompy, Cloudy Lane, Chelters, £25 (unsettled)

Bobby, Leishman, Golf (£20, lost)

Camel, Barnet relegation, (£50, unsettled)

Camel, Al Ferof, Chelters, (£50 unsettled)

Dubai, Darts Bet # 1, £50 (WON, returned £91.67)

Dubai, Darts Bet # 2, £66 (LOST)

Dubai, Darts Bet # 3, £110 (LOST)

Dubai, Darts bet # 4, £48,  (WON, returned £88)

Snowball, Cricket, £50 (lost)

Mere, RL Scorer, £50 (WON, returned £110)

Whisper, 'Boro, £25, (WON returned £48.50)

maldini, WBA, £25 (WON, returned £82.67)

Ralph, Rory Lay, £120 (lost)

Dubai, CL Goals, £75 (WON, returned £135)

Dubai, CL Result, £60 (WON, returned £129)

Mere, Cricket, SA v NZ, £50 (lost)

Chumpy, Blackpool football, £100 (lost)

Dubai, Darts, £120 (Lost)

Simon G, Chelt Top Trainer, £50 (unsettled)

Dean, San Antonio, £100 (lost)

ChipRich, Brighton, £100 (WON)

Tighty, Arsenal Novelty Bet, £30 (lost)

Total invested = £1,424.00

Arsenal Goals (Dubai) £135

Brighton (ChipRich), £206

Total Returns = £889.17
__________________________

March Profit/Loss = £1,424 minus £889 = £535 loss. (Includes £230 cost of unsettled bets)

5 Unsettled bets , Anderson, Cloudy Lane, Barnet, Al Ferof, Chelt Top Trainer = £230

We have three ante post bets on Cheltenham this week - Camel's Al Ferof (today), Chompy's Cloudy Lane (Friday), & Simon G's Top Cheltenham trainer, (Nicky Henderson).

If none of those oblige, we will be in a little bit of a hole.

I will NOT be available for punting purposes this evening (after 6pm), as I am working tonight.

It's hardly much of a hole given the enjoyment and pleasure generated for loads of the members here as well as yourself.

If you do go busto put up a staking thread for the next £1k and sell at 1: 2.0   Bet you sell out Wink

I can't begin to tell you the fun I have had with the thread, to be honest, Jase. (Great thread, Dewi).

If I do the whole lot, I'd probably do it again.

Hugely entertaining, & it has become "An Idiots Guide to Punting", too.

This is more of a "what do others think" post rather than a tip.
Gareth Mcleary is 11/2 to score at anytime with Paddy Power in tonight's Derby V Forest championship match. He's scored 4 in 7 and is as short as 5/2 in places.

Fair point. I was actually shocked to see the number of games he has played as this feels like his breakthrough season.

I really like Basel tonight.....massively underrated team.  Think best way is to bet them +2 on the Asian Handicap at 2.025 but wouldn't put anyone off laying Bayern at 2/9+ (or minus  suppose)

I don't know where or how to find "Asian handicaps" Mr Red, & I have exactly 15 minures before I go Offline for the evening, so I don't have time to search for this right now.

I could quickly & easily lay Bayern on Betfair @ 1.22.

Would that be correct, & if so, for how much would you recommend?

PS - Thanks.

Football betting not my thing but should Bilbao be 15/8 to beat Man Utd tomorrow? Far and away the best team in the first leg and we all know Man U won't be winning this donkament.

Oops....They were unbeaten away since August in all comps and obv beat MU etc.....oh well it happens.  Once upon a time both Tikay and I would have sold them on the spreads so could be worse!!!!

May as well lose by 7, as 1, eh?

And yes, when I was doing the spreads, & I took one of these quirky positions, it used to be eye-wateringly painful sometimes.

Anyway, I was working last evening, & unable to watch, so I was spared the pain. For £22, it was a worthwhile punt. Please don't stop posting these left-field ones, it's all good, & without you experts, I'd be at the mercy of the likes of Chompy, heaven forbid.
