http://sports.bodog.co.uk/specials/man-utd-player-of-season.htm

I know who i want to back on that list - Scholes price seems huge to me?

Anyone add anything that might make it worthy of some of tikays money?

10/1? Sounds huge at first sight!

I've no idea how fans might vote though, who could imagine how they may think?

Assuming they did not give him it already in his retiring season, which I cant remember, I think this is absolutely huge price, came in at Xmas and basically won them the league.  Who else at Man U has had an exceptional year, its been a team effort.

Any manure fans about?

some other tempting prices there

Vincent Kompany player of the season at 4/1?
Juan Mata at 4/6 is pinching money.

SSN just showed stats since Scholes' return. He missed 3 games and Utd have lost all 3 - two to Atletico and one to Wigan. Alternatively they've lost only one game with Scholes starting. He's been nothing short of incred.

Vidic and Ferdinand have been injured in large parts. Rooney hasn't been his sensational self. Nani has not lived up to his previous two seasons. It has to be Scholes surely?

Giggs won PFA player of the year a couple of seasons ago when only starting half the league games. Scholes may even be a half decent shout for that. These awards are usually more like lifetime achievement awards anyway.

Anderson has been playing dross but he's only against Hamilton and has played already earlier in the evening, is he worth backing at evens?

Think I'll assume that question is not aimed in my direction......

Ha ha, sorry that was a bit of a hijack there but got some good responses.

Lol, not at all, I was just trying to be "dry", no hijack, keep it coming, that's what the thread is about.

I know you like the quirky bets so heres one I like tomorrow in ......... Aussie Rules!

Collingwood and Carlton are big rivals in AFL and they clash tomorrow in front of 90,000 at the MCG.
Carlton have started the season with 2 wins from 2 games but against mediocre opposition who won't finish in the top half of the ladder this year.
Collingwood have been the best team in the comp for the last 2 years, winning the Premiership in 2010 and losing the Grand Final last year however they lost in the 1st round of matches to Hawthorn who are many peoples favourites for the title this year. Collingwood were missing a few experienced players that day and played with a number of youngsters who won't be playing tomorrow.
Head to head Collingwood have won the last 5 against Carlton by an average of 40 points albeit Carlton are getting closer each time (54,53,48,28,19).
Collingwood should be favourites in my view tomorrow but you can get best price 21/20 with Bet365.

Recommend £50 Collingwood win @ 21/20 with Bet365, first bounce is 10.50am

Please report to me by tomorrow morning, with ful details, including valid excuses.

PS - I'm assuming we went south, in every sense, as my BetVictor Account does not appear to have gone north.

Keep them coming, though.

Just a quick update on the IPL.  Mumbai currently sit top of the table with 3 wins from 4 games.  The injury to Tendulkar has affected them at the top of the order, but he will hopefully be back for their next match on Monday.  They have the 3 leading wicket takers in the competition so far and Pollard looked in awesome form with the bat the other day, so so far so good.

Thanks Matt, keep the updates coming, please.

How long does IPL last, how many games left, etc?

if pompey don't complete the season is the barnet bet blown? there'd presumably only be one going down from league 2

Good question, gatters, which failed to get a reply. Perhaps because we degens prefer to look the other way when it suits us, or maybe nobody saw the question.

I ggess for every Club which gets demoted from One to Two, or ejected from the entire League from ANY division, means there is one less "auto" relegation spot from League Two.

We'd need a football expert to answer that, I suppose.

Very relevant question, I think.

What can I say, that was ugly.
Carlton were outstanding, I had watched their first 2 games of the season and have to say I have hugely underestimated them, they are the real deal this year.
Collingwood were awful they appear to be suffering a hangover from last years Grand Final as that performance in no way shape or form resembles the team of the last 2 years.

I think I can safely join ChipRich on the wall of shame.
