Interesting one in the cricket today.  Sangakarra @ 7/2 Stan James or 10/3 Skybet to be top Deccan batsman.  Think 11/4 is probably about the right price.

Think I was too late, 11am start if I read it correctly.

Starts 11.30am our time.

Thanks, but unless I am mistaken, are now only taking outrights, the other markets seem to have gone. No worries.

The market is back following the toss and team announcements.
However, Sangakkara is now 5/2!

Ok, & ty, but at that price, I'll have to give it a miss, but thanks anyway, ditto to redarmi.

Sangakkara opened the batting which was good for the bet.
Sadly he only made 1 - good swerve.

If Arteta was fit to play on Saturday then I think Arsenal would be a decent bet @ evens but he isn't.

Without him there to cement the midfield it's pure guesswork IMO as to which Arsenal team shows up, the one that lost three or four games in a row the last time he was out injured or the team which thrashed Inter 3-0 (without Arteta) and nearly got out of the hole we had dug for ourselves in the first leg of the EC.

A fit Diaby might help but that has become something of an oxymoron.

Arteta is out for the season now which is a damn shame.  This leaves only really Aaron Ramsey for Sunday which is bad news as he seems to have zero confidence in his play at the moment.  Yossi Benaoyoun can't play because of the rules regarding loan players playing against their actual employers and Adou Diaby on a good day can last a half before needing several weeks off.  He has just managed a half against Oman's Olympic team I think so he's bound to tweak something in the warm-up on Saturday. I'd give the Ox a run out instead of Ramsey.  I think the argument that his lack of experience precludes him is a contradiction in terms.  I think this is the sort of game to bring the best out of him. He has no fear and Chelsea's defence such at it will be on Saturday will not enjoy having him running at them.

Hopefully also Chelsea will leave out Didier Drogba.  He ALWAYS scores against Arsenal.  Torres would be much preferable and the Arse can sneak a win some how.  Hopefully Chelsea have deluded some themselves enough after last night that they can actually win next week at Barca that resting their best players this weekend is a good idea.  Abramovich is obsessed with winning the CL so perhaps he'll demand everyone be rested and they play their under 15s?

Still think there is value in the Chelsea or the draw at close to evens, but it will be a bet i decide to put on if i do when i can see the team sheet and i will will only be backing relatively small.

If you like the obscure ones Tony lets try this.

Aussie Rules this Saturday.

£90 Port Adelaide + 41 1/2 points v Collingwood( it is 5/6 which I wouldn't normally take but the line will be mid 30's soon) with either Stan, or Hills

As big fav's Collingwood are taking no chances with two of their best players and both will miss the game.

Got there in the nick of time, then!

£90 with Stan James @ 5/6.

ON

£90.00 Single
    Selection   Hcp   Price
Collingwood Magpies v Port Adelaide : Full-Time Handicap   Port Adelaide   +41.5   5/6
Total stake   £90.00
Estimated return   £165.00
Full stake   £   90.00
Full Estimated return   £   165.00

Hills took 13 points off that handicap and are now trading 28 1/2.

Blimey, I guess if more than a few people start to bet on quite an obscure sport in quick succession it will stand out a little. Didn't Dave say some firms took down the FT market in that Greek game yesterday?

They were prob sat there thinking WTF is going on with this game Woo Hoo !! Here come a bunch of mug punters..when a line of bets appeared

FYP

lol, it happens mate. I know one thing tho, if you are knocking in 4 timers on the NBA then you will be ok even if the Greeks aren't playing ball.

LOL  even a busted clock is right twice a day...

True, but I went all in on under 1.5 after your clock algorithm flagged it up as a MAX punt Sad

Pretty sure my Cricket analysis is right

13 wickets across 3 county games by lunchtime.

rain at 3 of our 4 though, we'd be very unlucky to have insufficient play over 4 days not to force some results

Notts are 20-4 in our one game that is playing. You see these games can move on quick in bad batting conditions

Heavy cloud at Trent Bridge but still bright and dry.
It might be over by lunch-time tomorrow.

Still no toss at Liverpool - remarkable!

2 games in the 2nd div are 68-5 and 77-5. Tighty is right get the players onto the field and wickets will fall.

We have just had the absolute daddy of all hailstorms here in Osterley, which is near Chiswick, West London. (I explained the location for stray Fenlanders itt who struggle with the geography).

Roads are totally flooded, fire engines pumping out houses & shops galore, the whole lot, so chances of any play in the Middlesex game today are slim to slimmer.

SORT IT OUT Tighty.
