With the ground already described as soft at Newmarket and more rain forecast I can only see Trumpet Major's price going one way..

10/1 best now. Reckon he'll start closer to on the day.

Dreadful ew race though, win only the way forward.

Thanks Keith.

Minor plunge incoming.

We have£40 (in two seperate bets, each of £20) with BETDAQ, each @ 14.5. I assume commission has to be paid if it succeeds. All the 14.5 is now gone, best price there now is 13.5. The price is so far out of line, I assume I have made a booboo here. Off you go, you have permission to volley that one in. What have I got wrong?

Nothing.

Looks like a perfectly executed plunge to me.

Aren't we better including the two French horses too? Must both go on soft, top offer looks too much of a talking horse and born to sea is that short only because of his brother.  Add in the worry on the trip for Camelot, then French fifteen and Abtaal both look to be worth a bet at around 14 on betfair.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

You'll need to guide me on that, Mr Doobs, if we can agree we should do those two as well.

How would you suggest we execute, given our current position on Trumpet? We have £25 EW @ 12/1, & £40 win @ 14.5 (13.5/1) on Trumpet.

Hughton is NAILED on for WBA job , you can get 7/1.. Get on it tikay!

Suprised it would be nailed on for a Birmingham manager to go to one of there rivals ? Esp after how it's gone at Villa this season, plus the fact he might get Brummies promoted.

Blues haven't filed their accounts for last season and are subject to a transfer embargo. Carson Yeung is awaiting trial for money laundering in Hong Kong and has given Hughton no money and zero support this season. On the other hand Jeremy Peace at WBA is running a slick building operation with all the support network in place a good manager could want for, including a proper transfer budget. If Blues go up they will be battered from pillar to post next season after no investment so I figure Hughton would snap call. Martinez to Villa is my shout.

Villa job is no better than the Wigan job.

Whelan has shown massive loyalty to Martinez when many chairmen would have fired him. I expect Martinez to only leave for a big job.

Villa get double the crowds and spend 3 times as much as Wigan, but other than that no better.

I wouldn't go overboard in assuming it's going to be soft ground. The Rowley Mile drains amazingly quick and only showers are forecast between now and Saturday. It's soft now but good ground would be no surprise by the weekend.

Another NBA bet goes south, sigh. Ridic final quarter from Boston, they were 11 down late in the third and still five down starting the final quarter, but with the weight of our bet on their shoulders the Hawks nosedived. I said we needed Josh Smith to have a big game....how about getting carried off with a knee injury in the fourth quarter....whoever we bet on in NBA are bokked, an albatross round the neck of the Hawks. Boston won 87-80

Should I get my max bet on Miami for the championship now? Smiley

Yup, I awoke @ 5am this morning to a text from Bwin, which said, effectively, "Good Morning Mr Kendall, your bet has bombed".

No worries Mr Cake, we'll get this basketball right eventually, then go on a winning streak.

How is our Miami NBA "lay" going? Or has it not started yet?
