Play is getting underway on time at New Road Worcester
The scene here last week was as follows
I think it drains well
This morning?
Beautiful ground, overlooked by a cathedral and verdant green flood plain pastures
The pavilion is an antidote to modern corporate sponsored concrete stands
I digress.
Worcestershire have won the toss and will bat. Looks a good pitch
Currently priced at 6.0 on Betfair
That is generous, because Surrey's two bowlers Meaker and Dernbach are playing for England Lions this week
Surrey are going with 4 bowlers to accomodate the return for one match only of Mr Pietersen, whose efforts for Surrey resemble mine when I go to the gym. Half hearted, and slightly embarrassed to be there.
The forecast is a bit iffy, but if Worcs can get half a score here against a weakened bowling attck they are not a 5/1 shot
Recommend a semi-banzai £25 at 6.0 at Betfair

Starting on time at Durham
£40 Durham at 3.4 please (reduced for weather risk)
Somerset significantly weakened by injuries, and England Lions calls. Notably the top scorer this season Nick Compton, as well as Trescothick
Durham far better team than their brief record this season shows
Durham have been put in, and the price has moved out as a result.
Philander the main risk to this bet this morning

Damn, I couldn't post earlier as I was travelling
Worcs into 4.5, Durham into 2.7
Not so interested at the lower value.

Hi Tony, just a small Aussie rules bet for the weekend, i suggest 60 quid on sydney plus 4 1/2 v richmond at 5/6 with paddy power. Its a super tight game thats prob going to be around pick em on kick off so the 4 1/2 should be a nice start.
Excellent, Phil, thanks!
We have £60 with Paddy Power, Sydney +4.5, @ 5/6.

OK, was just about to plunge.
I guess the market is wafer-thin.
But thanks anyway.

"New Road" - lol at "I think it drains well".
Mastery of understatement much?
Amazing, though.

It pains me to post it but - Ian Poulter is going to win a tournament soon. He's playing about as well as he ever has.
He's GIR leader and putting well. He has some pedigree at the Players from when he was previously playing well.
80/1 is knocking about and that looks like a great price to me, i'm putting him in the bracket of players around 40/1.
I'm rating him for top englishman to at 10/1+, i can put a line through some of the other english players fairly easily.
£10 e/w and £20 win?

Thanks Tom.
"Like".
I rather like Ian, as he struts around with his chest out, he has that touch of arrogance about him, but not misplaced. I'm actually a bit of a Poulter fanboy, & know all sorts of weird stats about him.
Anyway, I gather he's hot with the GIR, he'll be fun to follow, & I'm rather hoping we can have one or two TPC Banzais. We gotta preserve our 'roll with our life, but have some fun bets too, & if we could bink one of these, we'd be in easy street.
I'm half hoping someone will tip Westwood, too, he's Mr Reliable of late, & I like his demeanour, but he's probably a bit short @ 12/1 & 14/1 generally.
We have £10 EW Poulter (SIX places paid) with BetVictor, & £20 win Poulter with BetVictor, both @ 80/1.

Bugger, I my have misread you there, perhaps you meant £10 EW "outright", & £20 "Top Englishman", sorry.
Oh well, too late now, so I've added £10 for Poulter "Top Englishman" @ 10/1 with Ladbrokes.
If I have misread it, I'll remove the incorret bet from the Thread fund & take it myself. Last of the big Spenders, me.

I am truly the King of Misclicks, Dave, I accidentally "double-clicked" a £100 bet @ 7/2 a few weeks ago, & it won! I only realised it a week later when I was checking my Account on that site. That one goes down to my private account.
To be fair, I've absorbed a loser or two the same way.
Anyway, make sure you don't misclick tonight, you are well deep in that SCOOPY thing, yeah?
