Terrific news!

Very well spotted by Hector.

We have him @ 14/1, for £10 EW (1,2),  so we have booked a profit come what may.

Most pleasing.

Semi final world matchplay golf.

What an event this is turning out to be for 3G. Looking like death he turned up on the first tea and proceeded to play his worst golf of the tournament by far. Before you could say Jean Claude van Damme he was 4 holes down. His caddy  was passing him cans of red bull more often than his putter and gradually he started to fight back. By the 14th it was all square, could he achieve the impossible?

Then disaster struck. A bogey at the 16th left him 1 down with 2  to play. Fortunately God intervened by sending a thunderstorm. The hours break meant 3G got in a power nap and then it was back onto the course. They parred the 17th but a sublime birdie at the last hole meant it was a sudden death play off. At the 2nd hole 3G struck the winning blow. So he is in the final where he will play Graeme McDowell.

Asked about his awful start 3G explained that it was Agatha Christie's fault. At 9.30pm last night he was in bed with his cup of Horlicks and decided to finish reading Death on the Nile. " It is preposterous" exclaimed 3G. " How can a man shoot himself in the knee, then walk over to the side of the boat and throw away the gun. I once hit my ankle with my 8 iron and I was in agony and I had to be stretchered off the course. I was so mad that I couldn't sleep all last night."

Upon being told his opponent in the final 3G said " I fear no-one."

After that we cannot lose.

That is a lovely piece of writing Hector, Post more please. If I may coin an original phrase, loving the two scoops of creativity.

Really can't work out why York are the underdogs here, in effect Wembley is an away game for both and Luton have only won 7 from 23 away from home, haven't had the time to keep fully updated with whats going on or why this is priced like so(or interest since I arrived in Singapore Wink  )   but think York are pretty good value at 2/1, I'm on for a few shekels

York    46    11    6    6    43    24    12    8    3    38    21    36    83
Luton    46    15    4    4    48    15    7    11    5    30    27    36    81

We have beat the price with the Airdrie Utd bet, now 10/11 with Hills and a couple are holding at evens.
This game is on BBC Alba (a Scottish Gaelic Channell) 188 on Virgin.

Colsaerts 1 up after 11 holes. Can our sleep deprived, Agatha Christie loving, Belgian hero hold on?
