US Open Golf.

Here's our position after Day Two. The Zhang bet is not included, as it has been taken as a loss already. (£10).

For context, the top of the leaderboard has 3 players @ 1 under, then 4 @ 1 over, 1 @ 2 over, & a whole posse on 3 & 4 over.

Woods (1 under, co-leader of 3), £25 @ 10/1, Methuselah.

McDowell (1 over) £5 EW @ 80/1, hector.

Watney (4 over) £5 @ 139/1, Fraser.

Justin Rose (4 over) £10 @ 28/1, Hawk.

Jim Furyk (1 under, co-leader of 3), £5 @ 33/1, hector.

Matt Kuchar (3 over) £10 @ 28/1, hector

Nick Colsaerts (1 over), £5 @ 220/1, hector

Padraig Harrington, (4 over), £10 @ 79/1 Methuselah. (Recommended @ 94/1, I botched the bet though).

That, Zhang apart, was our ENTIRE book, which is a bit eye-popping - we have 2 of the 3 who are tied for the lead, 2 of the guys who are tied 4th, 1 @ 3 over & 3 @ 4 over, all of whom can still win the thing. The odds of that must be astronomical, & our darts almost had a nine-darter.

Sadly, news reaches me that the winner is not declared after Day Two, but after Day 4, so  we are miles from home yet, & could well draw a complete blank. In Fred Sweat tems, though, it's as good as it gets, so well done all the tipper chaps.

Must be said, Woods is looking ominous. He bogeyed three on the bounce yesterday, but held his head together & finished joint leader, 1 under. Don't say a WORD, though, in case we self-bok. Mum's the word.

Tony..... pile into Russia to beat Greece tonight at a ludicrously generous 8 -11

They would be a lot shorter price if they werent  already favourites to qualify from their group

Cheered on by a large fan base  Free scoring Russia will still be looking for a win to make qualification totally sure  against a pedestrian Greek outfit

£165 @ 8 -11 is a must (nothing less)  182 on betfair now

Morning Fraser.

Yes, that looks a very good price to my ignorant eye, but I must learn from past mistakes & get better discipline, so I'd like to see some feedback first, especially if we are talking a "Maximum". I pre-ejaculate far too often of late.

Note also that our Maximum Bet is £150 at present.

Am not dissing your bet one bit, not at all, but I would just like some feedback first if we plan to have a "Max", we only do 3 or 4 of those every month, so the nit in me requires a little caution. Hopefully, we will get on, & not miss the price.

Oh, & good luck with it, it does, to me, look good.

3.25 Sandown. £50 eachway Ballesteros @ 5/1 with Hills, Paddy or VC. Fantastic bet.

Think this a real bet to nothing UNLESS we get a non runner. Then it's only a decent bet.

Ballesteros is beautifully drawn, progressive, loves the ground and should be much closer to the favourite than the current odds imply.

The favourite is obviously improvoing fast and the sky is possibly the limit, but I couldn't back him at 1/2 with stolen money from this draw.

....whereas I think I need to get on this one very quickly, as the price will (I guess...) soon go, this market is far more sensitive than the football one.

We have £50 EW with Wm Hill, Ballesteros, 3.25 Sandown, with Wm Hill.

Huge amount of money for the jolly in that race it would seem, it was 11/10 yesterday.

Everything bar Ballesteros and the fav are incredibly weak.

I couldn't argue the Russia bet, myself. They'll want to win to guarantee winning the group and missing Germany

I assume you have omitted accidentally the word "against"?, in that you mean "I could not argue AGAINST the Russia Bet"?
