If you had to have a bet, which would you say was the most likely?

I have a view that there is a rick here.

football from another era

some great snaps in this, with the passing of John Bond

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/9568040/John-Bond-a-life-in-pictures.html?frame=2351453

Wonderful!

I spend hours searching the web for those sort of photos Rich.

Ted McDougall, ooh.

And who would not instantly recognize Johnny Haynes & Jimmy Hill in that photo. I may even have been at that game, Grandad Angell used to take me to Craven cottage & Stamford Bridge on alternate Saturdays.

I seem to recall (probably wrongly) being at Stamford Bridge for an evening game, it was Drake's ducklings (Ted Drake) v the Busby Babes, (would have been pre-Munich I fancy), there were 83,000 in the stadium, & the score was something daft like 6-3 to United.  Probably all bollox, & my memory playing tricks.

Ok for one thing, Europe as the visiting team has the honour

Logically therefore the answer cannot be "GET IN THE HOLE" as that would be cried if it were a home player teeing off, not a European player

so.....

the moment Europe's first tee shot is hit, the crowd looks towards the first USA player to tee off (lets say Love puts Woods and Stricker up top..and its Woods) and the crowd shouts...

USA USA USA

does it not?

at 6-1.

possibly looks a fair price i would say good luck getting more than a  £1 on with sportingbet on a market like this

i suppose the irish firm will probably price this up as well

not sure i agree they wont shout get in the hole because its a european tbh seems a default, mash potato is heard just as much this year for whatever reasons

"your the man Tiger/Phil/Dustin" big runner as well as 1st US player strides to the tee though?  After first Euro tee shot greeted by polite applause but before first American shot.

If I had my way, when these shouty types do that banal nonsensical "in the hole/you the man" thing, I'd have them instantly shot. Humanely of course.

Half the crowd wont know who's teeing off first even when he is on his backswing.

Some yokel who is ten deep in the crowd is gonna shout "get in the hole" because

he thinks its cool.

Unless we get enough on to send me over and shout a 33-1 shot in. Wink.

not sure if anyone else has brought this one up yet.

Thursday night is Cleveland Browns at the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens are on a 12 game home win streak and beat the Patriots 31-30 at home last week to give the pats a losing record for the 1st time in years. Cleveland however are on a 9 game losing streak and haven't beaten a divisional rival in 12 games.

£50 at 10/11 Baltimore to win -12 points with bet365
or
£50 at evs Baltimore to win -12.5 with skybet

I can't wait for Rory to start destroying the Americans. Really hope it happens and the rest of the team backs him up.

i wouldnt be comfortable betting in this market anyway as you are completley at sporting bets discretion

it seems like the setup is going to be manic possibly aggressive and very very loud

All the sharp books have moved the line towards Cleveland. Yesterday there was a move from 13.5 to 11.5 with Olympic and Pinny are 12.5 with Cleveland at 5/6 which is broadly the same as being 12.

65% of the tickets are on Baltimore and 35% are on Cleveland yet the line moves towards Cleveland.

Your stats tell me why Baltimore are going to win and thaey are just the sort of reasons that they are a 12 point favourite, They don't tell me how to overcome that handicap and how to beat the 10/11 odds and they don't tell me anything that would not have been one of the first things factored into things by the initial line-maker.

I would like to lay those bets.
