Something for Wednesday maybe......my team Nott'm Forest just can't keep a clean sheet, just 1 in 9 games have we managed this so far this season.

Away from home Blackburn have scored 3, 5, and 2 against Leeds, Bristol City and Boro respectively.

Blackburn to score Over 1.5 goals is 13/8 with Bet 365 looks ok to me.

Suggest maybe £20

Thoughts

Oops, misread on the Boro analysis.  Still think it's worth a shout, Forest are not playing well at all.

Just don't trust Blackburn much.  How are Forest - I feel like they should have a good season given their team and resources?

We should, but are off the boil at the moment.  The loss to Derby was a right kick in the guts.  Can definitely see us conceding a goal, and the 13/8 for 2 or more conceded has a good chance of happening IMO.

This one is stats based, have not seen either side this season...so if any opinions please chuck them in

Scunthorpe v Tranmere

In 9 games Tranmere are top W 6 D 3 L 0, goal difference +17 (primarily big scorers at home)

Away, won 2, drawn 2, lost 0....

Only three goals conceded away from home

Scunthorpe

W 2 D 2 L 5 goal difference -9

Have won only one of four at home, scoring only 3

Prices?

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-1/scunthorpe-v-tranmere/winner

Tranmere are nearly 2-1..7/4 at William Hill 17/9 at Pinnacle

Scunthorpe are favourites

Tranmere conceded a 95th minute equliaser to Brentford on Saturday

Scunthorpe lost at Portsmouth, though that was their first loss in five (DWDWL) so form has been improving after a very bad start

Tranmere interesting at 7/4, or are the bookies accurately pricing a pick up in Scunthorpe's fortunes

Also interested in views on

Leeds 3-1 at Bolton (Bolton very mixed form)
Blackpool 2-1 at Hull (Hull lost last two, Blackpool score goals)

Tranmere always look a good price to me in nearly every game they play!  Seems to me the bookies just don't rate them.

"The Referee was one Mr Clattenburg. Does he have a history of that sort of thing?"

I was at Vicarage Road the day a Reading chap headed the ball WIDE and and went out for a goal kick before another reading striker hooked it back into play.

And Clattenburgh awarded................a goal.

For anyone who hasn't seen it:

99% sure that wasn't Clattenburg.

You are correct - it was Stuart Atwell.  Apologies to Mr Clattenburg!

I agree Bolton are being over-rated, but surely 7/4 Bolton would be backed off the boards.

Bit of a chance for our Kohli bet today, as Watson only got 8.  If Kohli could get a 50 this afternoon then we are right in this as McCullum and Wright are out.  We need India to win as well of course to make it through.

SR Watson (Aus)   242
BB McCullum (NZ) 212
LJ Wright (Eng) 193
V Kohli (India)  183

On the subject of the Arc de Triomphe...if Nathanial was to be a non-runner would anyone find the race more interesting? I quite like 1/4 1,2,3 here and I just backed Saonois and Shareta ew at 9/1 and 8/1 with Ladbrokes. I didn't have much on as I couldn't really decide what to do but I think the race is due to cu up.

Anyone prefer one of those over the other?

Oh look. I just laid 7/1 on Betfair and now it is 36/1. Do they cancel my bets in that situation these days or do I get a black mark? I was only really testing out the strength of the info and I just laid £25 to see how quickly it would drift.

Thanks Rick, I'll have a butchers shortly.

I did reply to your rather interesting Post the other day, but not many people picked up on it. I actually thought it might stimulate quite a debate.
