Good afternoon Mr Tikay.

No need Mr Milli, no need.

I'm busy, & 7 on the grumpy scale, too, so get back to your own Thread. Now.

Final warning.

One thing that poker gives you above almost any other hobby is a day like that: a full day of fun with friends and all for free.

Great stuff, sir.

Did you know my mother Mr Tikay?  I can't believe it. When I check my overnight results, baseball and NFL, I put my hand up blocking the view and slowly move it across looking at the scores quarter by quarter, innings by innings. Maybe childish but it prolongs the fun. And today I had to perform the victory song when my baseball came in.

Camelot is 4-1 with Hills for the Arc.

Hills are paying first three for a quarter of the odds, so that's even money for the top 3.

This has to be a bet, surely?

Daily Report as @ 1030, Saturday October 6th

We made a profit of £35 yesterday.

Two bets completed.

The Aussie Sixes bet got well & truly despatched over long-off, for a £20 loss.

However, some hedging business, which even met with the approval of our resident ruminant, coasted home in "Piggott, hard-held, looking over the shoulder" style, & so gave us a £55 profit (His Tightness), & we ended up ahead on the coup thing.

Our wager on Cabrera-Bello in the Dunhill Golf also appears, technically, still to be alive, too, though about 20 shots off the lead. He seems, however, not to have missed the cut, unless I have misread something, which would be most unlike me.

I have not removed the Dilshan Sixes bet from the account, as it still has, technically, a faint pulse, & MereAuditor is extremely fussy, correct, not to say pedantic about such matters.

I should, I think, take this opportunity to thank Mr Mere for his utter reliability & correctitude with the spready, he's as reliable as a Volkswagon.

I'm genuinely surprised. Almost did the triple crown and starts as favourite with a more reliable and experienced jockey on board. I would have expected it to be better than just even money to place.

If it isn't, it isn't.

I'm gradually coming to the conclusion that I know next to nothing about betting.

I say "gradually", as I keep asking and being surprised by the answers.

The rest of you might well have drawn this conclusion some time ago but thanks for letting me catch up!

Great stuff, sir.

Absolutey correct, I had THE most enjoyable & relaxing day. Good friends, good table company, a bit of run good.

I was hoping to share tables with young Maria, but despite the small field, it never happened until 8 minutes from the end of play. Two Gentlemen then decided to play out a 10 minute hand, so we never even got to play a hand against each other.

It was such a lovely day, though. So, a day at home today, recovering from the "exertion", then all the way back up to Nottingham tomorrow for Day Two. I have to go up to Leeds on Monday, too, so a bit too much driving at the moment. Never mind, we have to ensure we live every day to the full.

I do feel shite today, though.

Uncanny - I do EXACTLY the same thing! How silly, but pleasing, is that? I don't do a physical victory dance though, just a little mental one.

Mr Giblin was on last night's Baseball, too, we were watching the scores at the cash Table, though I believe it all went a bit tits up for him. (Braves?). He won a few grand in the DC though.

Ahh, thank you. I could not figure how he was still in, he's been lapped I think.

Ahh, God bless Teletext.

Sometimes it was a 12 pager, & you JUST missed your page, then ensued a 9 minute wait for it to come round again.

It was fine though, but I fancy today's generation would be, to use the current term in vogue, which I see in almost every Post about poker, tilted so hard.
