Just seen the fuss the "Hooper" post caused. I am indeed from Scunthorpe and it is the wife who is more of a fan. We have had some great players and managers go through the club in recent times and its great to see them moving onwards and upwards. Hooper is an honest professional and although he is some way off "the full package" of a premier league striker, it is certainly encouraging to hear that Hodgson is even considering him in the mix.
As for all the bickering its just not needed especially itt. We have some really knowledgable folks who post some absolute pearls of wisdom on here and it will be a shame to lose them.
There is absolute no way Hodgson can consider putting him into the squad, when he has no experience in relevant league. He has only been in lower leagues and the SPL and none are ideal to be fair.
you have got to be at the Wynd up?
I was about to offer up an apology thinking I might have been harsh on him yesterday but by christ he still doesn't get it.
Anyway, there has been some interesting debate today, I hope it moves things on in the right direction.
A suggestion for tonight I was going to make was over 2.5 goals in the Malaga v AC Milan game. Its priced @ 10/11, I actuall anticipated it would be shorter when going through this round of fixtures. Malaga are a very decent side at home and well organised, AC Milan on the other hand are in disseray atm and seem to be struggling defensively. I think some might be under-estimating Malaga's chances of scoring against an italian side. Originally I had the overs at around 5/6 and there was some 1.96 available on Betfair, but its come in again in price. I would still be happy with the 1.91 available just now.
If pushed I can see a scoreline of 2 - 1, 2-2 or 3-1. I Don't see Milan getting any better than a draw, but I can see them scoring. Sadly they are defensively weak this season.

Another one please
Huge Dallas Cowboys fan since 1982. Don't miss a game, read the forums daily, live stream press-conferences. The lot. Sadly.
http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/new-york-giants-at-dallas-cowboys/point-spread
There has been major injury news in the last 24 hours
When the Cowboys beat the Giants as a three point Dog in the opening game of the season, Sean Lee the leader of the defense (makes the calls, leader on the field) had 14 tackles and a forced fumble. Huge performance
Not as high profile as the loss of say Lewis to the Ravens, but he's now on Injured reserve as of today and profile apart the magnitude of the loss is similar to the Ravens loss. Virtually irreplaceable (they have done so via Ernie Sims, off the street)
In that week one game DeMarco Murray rushed for 131 yards on 22 carries. He is out Sunday too. Furthermore his back up Felix Jones is banged up and may miss the game
As for the Cowboys overall, offense has been spluttering all season, with the OL only now beginning to gel and the skill positions such as Witten, Bryant (million dollar hands, million peanut brain), Austin underperforming
The Giants are healthier, Nicks is back, Bradshaw is back.
The line has not moved for this significant injury news
NYG -1 looks max bet material to me, but I don't know what I am missing?
I am aware of Neil's thoughts on money generally coming in for the Cowboys as we near weekends. Has that held the line up?
I make the NYG a touchdown favourite in this game. NYG were -3 first game of the season since when they are 5-1, Dallas are 2-3 and the injury positions completely reversed
(History is a bit unpopular as a reason for a bet on here, but the Giants are 3-0 at the new Cowboys Stadium. big chip on the shoulder for the Giants players as our idiot owner keeps firing them up with talk, which gets them going. They play up, the Cowboys choke like a Heimlich Manoeuvre training course with alarming frequency)
What am I missing?

Albert Breer @AlbertBreer (Dallas Beat writer)
Rob called him the brain of the Dallas D RT @KimJonesSports: Rex Ryan said Rob was "literally crying on the phone" over the loss of Sean Lee
Rex Ryan - coach of the Jets
Rob Ryan - his brother - defensive co-ordinator of the Cowboys
I follow all the Dallas beat guys.
I need to be convinced that this line isn't completely wrong please

Gosh, what is up with you? People have asked for the bickering to stop, why you not listen? Just stop with it.
I am not on much tonight, just a few accas I put on this morning for a spin during a boring night.

The line is currently -1 5/6 most places so it is more akin to -2 in reality. Obviously if the game was assessed in the same way as the original game then the line would be Dallas -2.5/-3 because they are at home now so there is a fairly big adjustment but agree possibly not enough.

We've not been awarded a penalty yet this season and I still think that Santi'll take them.

Anyone got any thought on the dortmund - madrid game? Just seen madrids back line..ramos varane pepe and essien. Looks vulnerable to the high pressing style of dortmund. Dortmund 12/5 ftw, thoughts?
I have no view really but wouldn't the back four be more of a reason to bet overs than Dortmund?
Yes true. Id just seen the team news and thought of ways to take advantage. When The total goals quote was 3.15 which meant the overs were around 4/7ish shot, which seemed reasonable enough.

Also on over 3.5. I am not 100% what odds are on it though, think it might have been 13/8.
Arsenal have a few injuries (according to someone else) & wanted to swurve, but not much choice on for a Wednesday sweat.

I would like to propose Denise Van Outen for winner of Strictly Come Dancing. The chief reasons are she has a nice ass and good hips.
She's the best dancer for sure.
I think the value in these things is finding a slow burner - like backing a greyhound with "SAw RanOn". For me, Dani Harmer is a cracker. She has good movement, she picks up the dance quickly in training and she has a popular partner in Vincent.
However, as Tikay doesn't like talking about this sort of stuff, we'd best be careful...
Tikay, in about six weeks, I'll hopefully be putting up a chess bet for the London Chess Classic. Will wait to see who gets white against whom first, but if there is a market somewhere, I'll hunt the value for Fred.

Aaron mate, do you think before you post?
As we've just explained over the last 3 or 4 pages this isn't the thread for random sweat punts.
Why not start your own thread if that's how you want to punt?

Can't the posts just be deleted when they are this ridiculous. It's just trolling plain and simple.
