Zzzzz Jazz. Absolutely collapsed. Downswing announced Sad

What a swing-swong that one was.

1st Qtr - Jazz won by 2 (& so covering the handicap)

2nd Qtr - Jazz won by 8

3rd Qtr - Jazz lost by 18 (EIGHTEEN)

4th Qtr - Jazz lost by 5

Some collapse that!

Daily Report as at 0900, Sunday 16th December

We made a profit of £6 yesterday.

We should be pleased with any profit, but one way & another, yesterday was a bit of a pigs ear, & we wasted a couple of nice binks with plenty of losers, & just as many missed winners. It could have been much worse though, at least one very big suggestion was swerved, & lost.

The cold hard facts.

Losses:

Astracad – £20

Leinster Draw – £5

Leinster NTS – £5

Rochdale – £25

Sheff Utd – £20

Jazz – £44

= -£119

Winners

Anderson £45

Ospreys - £60

Cavs - £20

= +£125

Missed

Leicester Unders, strongly hinted by Tighty

Liverpool Lay, Jamier-Host

Snowy – Darts

Guy – Darts

Apologies to the darts lads, but I was out last night, so missed both, but it seems like half of Fred were on, which is all that matters really.

You are having a larf-ers

We were given Rochdale to beat Aldershot, I misclicked & placed it back to front, accidentally backing Aldershot, so I took it off-thread & stood the bet myself, & replaced it on Fred with the correct bet. Aldershot won, obv.

So, not a very efficient day, that.

Roll of Honour

Jaffa Cake (+£20) gave us a nice NBA winner.

Hector gave us the Anderson bet (+£45).

Hector gave us the Ospreys, a 3/1 dog in effectively a 2 way bet. (+£60)

Stat of the Day

We don’t publish comparative ROI’s or Stats (sample size muddies the water), but since Fred began, hector (King of the Nits) is the most prolific tipster by number of bets – 120 – on which he has a ROI of +23%. Respect, Cake Bloke.

If your avg odds punted are 11/10 at level stakes, what sort of roi would people expect after 1000 bets?

One for the Elders, that, but I would be surprised if they expected more than 4% or 5%. Don't forget, the bookies have a margin built-in to the prices, call it 10%, so to achieve 5% profit you actually have to cover that, too.

Hopefully, some of the Elders will comment in due course.

Mr Milli it gladdens the heart to know that the Millidonk family will have the funds to grace that wonderful table with some figgy pudding next week.

Morning Mr T. I would like to enquire whether our horse in the 10 to follow or whatever it was has had a trundle yet ? If so how did it go and if not when might it run.

Time for some more Carte Noire and a look to see if I can find another successful max rugby bet for today, it will be my 6th in a row if it does. One of them was even for the dizzy sum of £24.

It is too early for a celebratory Anderson dance so I shall instead have a bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes.

Beat Tighty

Can you name the Team this stadium is home to, before Tighty does?

They are a current Football League Team.

The mare is "Tarla", but I'm afraid we shall have to ask Doobs, as I have no idea, & have been wondering that myself.

Doobsy?

6 Rugby Winners in a row (excluding the "Banzai Savers")?

Yup, I've been watching that, it'd be quite somerthing to get 6 straight rugby winners, & you still keep the stakes sensible, very rarely more than £20. Incredible.

We never name the owners of losing bets in the Daily Reports here, as we like to celebrate success, not mock failure, & you are hogging the limelight right now. Could not happen to a more decent chap, & long may it last.

Here, share a congratulatory coffee with this chap.

I love this thread when someone posts a winner - Snowy in the darts last night is a great example, or hector's nitty winners - & then hardened punters come on the thread & say they got on.

It's almost like a co-operative, eveyone working for each other.

And losers never get dissed.

What's not to like?

I don't yet know whether it will continue beyond February, when the 12 months are up, or maybe I will hand over the reins to someone else, but I cannot tell you the fun it has given me.

This is what Forums should be for imo - fun.

Sorry Mr T but it has to be a mug.

I had a smile to myself this morning. It seems I can't win with our celtic brethren. I get accused of being anti-Murray, then when I go against the Scarlets I am accused of being anti-Welsh rugby teams. Then I tip the Ospreys to win and another Welshie comes on and thinks I am mad to back them as he has seen them and says they are rubbish !

Why can't they all be like spacefrog, all the abuse about cheese eating surrender monkeys and not a peep from him. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could get him to post on here ?

Very mysterious man is our spacefrog.

Many people think it is a spoof account, but it is not, it is a genuine bona-fide Member.

He used to Post from time to time, but not for some goodly while now. He still lurks daily though, including here.

Perhaps we could goad him into posting by insulting the French? Oh, wait - we do, every day.

Come on Froggy Bloke, come & join the fun. We don't bite, though we do thrash you at Rugby, as your lads suck.
