TL900 gave us a BasketBall jobbie for last night.

We needed Clippers to overcome -6.5 points over Pistons.

Result:

Clippers 88

Pistons 76

88 minus 76 equals.......more than 6.5.

WINNER!

Paddypower offering an enhanced accumulator for the NBA tonight.

Clippers,Grizzlies,Thunder, Suns all to win.

On oddschecker:
Clippers are 6.5/7 point favs @ Pistons (poor team)
Grizzlies are 6.5 favs vs Bulls (good team, nothing without Derrick Rose)
Thunder are 5.5 favs vs Spurs (very good team, lost last 2 on the road. Lost all 3 games in OKC last season)
Suns are 6.5/7 favs vs Kings (poor team who are horrible on the road, played last night)

If you put them all in individually it is 2.5/1, the enhancement makes it 3/1. Might be worth a flutter? Thoughts?

In case anyone got on this, all four selections WON.

Even if it is for a min bet I would suggest Palace to win against Huddersfield at home at 1.8 with Corals.

We have been frustrated with tight games recently that we have led until the dying minutes and I think the frustrations are going to boil over into a complete hammering of Huddersfield on Saturday who have been on pitiful form.

The game is also on live at 17.20 on Sky Sports on Saturday which helps with a sweat. Note too I haven't suggested a Palace bet in some weeks, but feel very confident that this should be at more like 1.6 and I predict a 4-0.

http://www.oddschecker.com/basketball/nba/los-angeles-clippers-at-detroit-pistons/point-spread

Clippers travel to Detroit in amazing form winning their last 9 games. CP3 is working this finely tuned outfit to a tee and brushing team after team aside. On average they score 8.4points more than they concede.

Detroit have lost their last 4 although they have a 5-7 home record this year, Clippers have too much in the locker for them.

Thoughts on this game Jaffa/anyone?

I see clippers being 9-10 favourites here on the road. We can get evens @ -6.5 with Coral which is an extra little bit of value. Im in for 3 units.

http://www.oddschecker.com/basketball/nba/toronto-raptors-at-cleveland-cavaliers/point-spread

For tomorrow:

Cavaliers have been playing pretty well recently since Kyries return, the kid is absolutely on fire and undefendable at the minute. I think short term form has effected this line because I think its way off. Cavs have lost their last 3 but have been impressive in doing so (almost pulled off a shock win last time out in NYK) and Raptors have won their last 2 however Calderon had to have a Triple Double last game just to barely beat the Rockets at home who are awful on the road. Also, Raptors are alot better at home than away where they have a 1-14 record so far this season.

They also have a very thin squad at the minute with two of their best players (Bargnani and Fields) out for the game. This means their starting line up is worse but more importantly their bench is very weak.

I think Cavs are alot better than the Raptors and they say home court is worth 3 points so they are basically saying Cavs are 1 point better than the Raptors which is wrong imo. (also its probably worth more vs someone with such a bad road record like the Raptors)

Im in for the max 5 units on Cavaliers -4 with Bwin. 100% a Fred bet imo

GL

Morning Tom.

The first of those 2 bets came in.

We were unable to place the 2nd bet (Raptors & Cavaliers)  - which is TONIGHT - asBWwin were offline all day yesterday.

BWIn are now back up, BUT they have moved their line to -4.5, which is identical to every other site.

So the line is now effectively 1 point worse, & your recommendation was a 5 Unit Max (£55) at -4.

Should we now proceed at the worse line (-4.5), or at all, or for a lesser stake?

Daily Report as at 0915, Tuesday 18th December

We made a profit of £75 yesterday.

7 bets completed, 4 losers & 3 winners.

This included the final settlements on the India - England Test Series & 4th Test.

Losses included.....

Bell, Top England Batter, -£50

Jimmy Anderson, Top England Bowlerer, -£25

England to win 4th Test, -£40

Darts, Wade v Hudson, £-30.

The Winning Trio of bets were......

Pujara, Top India Batter. He finished over 180 runs ahead of his nearest colleague. £140. We had £20 @ 7/1, down to Sir Hector, and I would be very surprised if many other people could or did spot that bet. Allez Cornwall!

A LAY of India in the 4th Test. This was a bet that would be nigh impossible to imagine before the game began. +£50. I am unclear (see next Post) who exactly owned this bet, but certainly, Doobsy was involved in the discussion that led to the Lay. Even if we were to ignore this winner, Doobsy still holds the distinction of having a Fred ROI in excess of 100% over a sample size of 21 bets.

TL900 found us another NBA winner last night (+£30).

A pleasing day.

The photos will go up later.

Now, the mystery of who owned that Lay of India next.....

The India Lay.

It is unclear (to me) who owned this bet.

A discussion took place between Tighty, Doobs, & myself. After some toing & froing, I idly asked "maybe a lay is the correct route?".

Tighty & Doobs then continued the discussion, & eventually, on their advice, we made the bet.

I asked at the time "who owns this, Tighty or Doobs?".

I THINK I saw Tighty mention a few days ago that it was down to Doobs.

The Spreadsheet currently states it is owned by Tighty.

We need to get these things right, or Mere will get feisty & curmudgeonly.

The debate started here.....

It was you who first said "maybe a lay of India is the answer?", so I think the answer should be you?

No no, I was just oiling the wheels of debate, throwing stuff out there, grist to the mill, and sundry other ridiculous metaphors.

Can't it be like sacks? Chop it between the involved parties.

How about a "Solomons Baby" decision - you know, the one where the baby gets sliced in half, right down the middle?
